In 1847, during the US War with Mexico, the US Army attacked Taos. Pueblo in retaliation to the murder of Taos. Governor Charles Bent. It was believed the Taos. Thursday, October 4, 2007. Ghost Ranch, NM - Georgia O'Keefe - 10/3. As I'm sure most of you are aware, this site is where Georgia O'keefe. Did much of her painting. She had a home on this ranch. It is currently owned by the Presbyterian Church and is used as a retreat and convension. Center. It is one beautiful place! We stayed in this room; it was very simple, cement floors with minimal furniture. It was truly. Lovely. It was on top of the mesa and the views. This is sunset from our room. Santa Fe, NM.

Thursday, October 4, 2007. Chaco, NM 10/3. We took a ranger lead tour (actually Kelly was a volunteer, the seasonal ranger had already left the area.) through this ruin. She was wonderful. One could tell right away that she loved this place. As you go through the pictures, know that the tops of the ruins have been stabilized by Indians that are hired by the park system.
