Monday, January 14, 2008. WD and WB in Florida under Isabel Stoffers. Butters (Surrey Hill's Golden Boy) and Delta (Taejaan Innocent Eyes) did very well at the Pasco Florida Kennel Club. Delta was WB for 2 points and Butters was WD, BOW, BOS for 2 points. The judge was renowned whippet breeder Isabel Stoffers (Runners). Butters and Delta were handled by Laura Kieffer. Wednesday, April 30, 2008. First Dog Show success! Bernie (Mariner's Drunken Sailor) went RWD and best puppy at the Chesapeake, VA shows under judge Denny Mounce. He went on to a Puppy Group 2! We're very proud of our Meghan puppy. An excellent day for two young dogs. Both will be shown sparingly in the ring this year as Bernie and Jewel make up part of our 2008/2009 coursing and racing team. Both dogs were handled by Laura Kieffer who has done an excellent job with their ringcraft over the last few weeks.

Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Racing fun and placements! Last weekend was our meet for MAWRA. Mid-Atlantic Whippet Racing Association) under the CWA. Program. Butters (Ch. Surrey Hill's Golden Boy) practiced on Saturday then entered as the only puppy on Sunday. He had 3 beautiful runs. Saturday, May 3, 2008. Announcing a new champion- Surrey Hill's Golden Boy (Ch. Chelsea Chalcedoney x Ch. Diablesse Surrey Hill Say Yaha), bred by Karen Lee and Leila Anchini-Downen, and owned by Kristen Fredericks and Karen Lee. Butters" has had quite a week- he did well at the National and had his first cross-country flights, and now he is a champion, finishing today under Avery Gaudin at Bucks County KC in PA. Saturday, May 3, 2008. ASFA Coursing 1st for Jewel. Jewel (Surrey Hill's Ripon Jewel) continues her winning ways, this time on the coursing field by going 1st in the Open stake under Judge Vanessa Johnson at the CHAMP ASFA field trial in Leesburg, VA. Monday, March 31, 2008. Bernie at 6 months. Bernie (Mariner's Drunken Sailor) turned 6 months old on March 26th and on March 29th he went to the MAWRA club race practice. While he was there Laura Kieffer (Pixel Whippets) took the opportunity to stack him up for a impromtu photoshoot with her mother and professional photographer, Terri Kieffer. Butters (Surrey Hill's Golden Boy) wins the 12-18 month class at the American Whippet Club National in Eugene, OR under judge Cindy Scott, handled by his breeder Karen Lee. Butters also won the 12-14 month class in the puppy Futurity under judge Donna Lynch (Hamrya Whippets) , handled by Linda Buchholz (Swiftsure Whippets, Canada). Labels: American Whippet Club. Butters (Surrey Hill's Golden Boy) went Best of Breed at the tender age of 7 months at both Philadelphia Kennel Club dog shows under judges Karen Wilson and Patricia Gabosch - handled by Laura Kieffer. On Saturday, the event was taped by NBC as the National Dog Show and will be shown after the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on NBC! Check him out being shown by his breeder Karen Bowers Lee! Saturday, February 16, 2008. WD, WB, BOW, BOS, BOB and Group 4 in Buffalo! Inga (Surrey Hill Ice Queen of Mariner) broke out of the starting gates at full speed! In her first show at the Wyoming Kennel Club in Buffalo, NY she was Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and then Best of Breed over specials for 2 points! She wasn't satisfied to stop there! Inga is out of DC Surrey Hill's Pep Talk and the lovely English import Bluestreak Belle Du Jour from the world famous Bluestreak Kennels.
