http://fromonetothree.blogspot.com/2013/08/there-and-back-again.html
Wednesday, August 21, 2013. There and back again. Summer has been so busy. We feel like this is the first summer since Nate and Brynn's birth that we can go on a spontaneous adventure. And so, we did. Brynn dancing at a Gardens concert. 4th of July parade with Smits and VW. Fireworks in our backyard with lots of friends. Baseball game with Grandpa Jim and Grandma Shirley. The beach with the Heyboers. Swimming lessons for Eli. Blueberry picking with Kissingers. The zoo with Alysha. Go fly a kite!

Thursday, May 30, 2013. Where are you going and where have you been? Well, we are heading into summer and we have been busy! Having our "babies" grow into 4 year olds has meant so many more adventures. We celebrated these soon to be newlyweds. We built these for a Mother's Day gift. We grilled and had smores. We got 3 stitches put in and removed. We (Kara and Jodi) went here for a quick get away. We graduated from 3/4yr preschool. We celebrated 8 years with that big kid in the hat. We hit the ball.

http://fromonetothree.blogspot.com/2014/04/egg-hunt.html
Tuesday, April 22, 2014. I haven't posted in a long while and now that I am trying to post, I am having technical difficulties. But here is one picture of our Egg Hunt group from this past weekend for the few loyal people who I know still check this site (Beth, Gladys, and Tammi). The weather was beautiful on Saturday; we had over 60 guests and over 400 eggs. Posted by Kara, Brian, Eli, Nate, and Brynn. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Life with Eli, Nate, and Brynn. http://miriam-phx2pdx.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 20, 2008. Sellwood Riverside Park looking north to downtown Portland up the Willamette River. My reading tree at Gabriel Park. Gabriel Park Community Garden. Lake Oswego Public Library. I spend a lot of time here on the internet and renting free DVDs. Tryon Creek State Park. This fairy-tale forest is only 1.5 miles from my house and has lots of winding trails. It also has a nature trail that has rotating art installations. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Stomping 'Round Stumptown: March 2009
http://miriam-phx2pdx.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 12, 2009. Turning 30 is Sunny and Bright. Because this was such a notable birthday, I decided that I should get out of town and commemorate the occasion in grand style. Going back to Phoenix was the logical choice, considering it was about 40 degrees warmer and I have loved-ones there to celebrate with. Of course, when I arrived, a visit to Cherry Blossom Noodle Cafe was inevitable. Eating mountains of sushi with my parents was just the homecoming I was hoping for. Flying back to Portland...

Stomping 'Round Stumptown: Sauvie Island
http://miriam-phx2pdx.blogspot.com/2009/06/sauvie-island.html
Monday, June 22, 2009. Just a short 20-minute drive in North Portland is a rural riparian area called Sauvie Island. It’s a small stretch of land surrounded by rivers, known for its agriculture and wildlife. One side of the “island” is bordered by the Multnomah Channel, which hosts a village of house boats, and the other side is bordered by the Columbia River, which has pleasant sandy beaches. I took a walk around one of the small lakes on the inner part of the island, and then went strawberry picking.

Stomping 'Round Stumptown: November 2008
http://miriam-phx2pdx.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 2, 2008. The Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood. I started by traveling along the Columbia River through the Gorge. The river borders the north side of Portland, across which you can see the state of Washington. As you wander out of town, there are several vistas where you can enjoy the view. Then I turned away from the Gorge and headed south toward Mt. Hood. I traversed farmlands and orchards and enjoyed the warm fall day, although the leaves weren't really changing color yet. View my co...
