SCAA 2014 - SEATTLE, WA. I was very lucky this year to travel to Seattle with Food 4 Farmers. To attend the SCAA. To present my photographs. In keeping with tradition of last year's event, Food 4 Farmers had an Ice Cream social with some special celebrity scoopers - Rick Peyser and Kayd Whalen! These two were later replaced by Sophie Conway and Marcela Pino. Fairtrade International. Also generously hosted an Ice Cream Social the next day in support of Food 4 Farmers!

ETHIOPIA'S OMO RIVER VALLEY and KENYA'S LAKE TURKANA. The indigenous communities that neighbor the Omo River live self-sustainably, relying on the river to maintain their agro-pastoral way of life. For the communities that live directly next to the river, fish is an important source of daily food and protein. Here a boy proudly displays one of his catches. Children often spend a large portion of their day fishing and playing by the river's edge. Each indigenous community has their own unique adornment.
