Laquo; “Mom…Where Do Cornichons Come From? I’m in the process of updating this recipe. I introduced it here in 2005 and I’ve been working on a way to make it more streamlined, with better photos. I’ll be including the recipe in a book to be published in the spring of 2017. –. Is there anything more fabulous than something created through the wonder and miracle of caramelization? Those butter-loving Bretons invented this unique. I searched long-and-wide for. After all my tinkering, by now they have. Here&...

The Occasional Epicure: Singapore - Laksa
http://occasionalepicure.blogspot.com/2005/10/singapore-laksa.html
Occasional updates on my eating and cooking adventures. Wednesday, October 05, 2005. In August 2004 RJ and I visited Singapore for my friends' wedding. It was way before I had ever even set eyes upon a food blog. But because food is one of my favourite things about Singapore, I ended up taking some photos of things we ate. My favourite ingredient is the fried spongy tofu that absorbs the delicious coconut milk-based curry soup, closely followed by the prawns, hard boiled egg, beansprouts and noodles.

The Occasional Epicure: Oaty date slice
http://occasionalepicure.blogspot.com/2005/10/oaty-date-slice.html
Occasional updates on my eating and cooking adventures. Friday, October 14, 2005. Winter in Queensland is long gone. I love eating porridge for breakfast every day when the weather is cold, but once there's a hint of warmth in the air it's straight back to cereal and cold milk. This year I miscalculated when the porridge days would end, and finished up with an oversupply of rolled oats. Who could suggest a use for these lovely and healthy grains? Are oats classified as a grain? Somebody, please advise!

My mum was visiting for the weekend so we decided to introduce her to Malaya Corner. Oh, and she saw my blog for the first time, too! Something Yum....: September 2006
http://somethingyum.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Cooking adventures and lots of other yum life adventures. Since last writing, the garden has come on in leaps and bounds with things actually growing and looking planty, except the mouldy tomatoes. Due to a rather large spider threatening to pull me into his web, I cannot reach the runner beans at the moment, but they look nice from a distance and I am sure all the insects are having a jolly nice feed. Cooking adventures and lots of other yum life adventures. Ah absolute bliss. I'd had a rather stressful day at the office on Friday and had called the OH requesting a much needed visit to the pub for that night - I needed a lot of beer, sun and the hum of sunny days conversation. However, what a surprise! The boyfriend calls me back and says, let's go for a picnic by thr river - we know a great little spot. Links to this post. Oh well, enjoy. Links to this post.
