Rescue excavations were conducted at the site by K. Leshtakov in 2000-2011 ( Leshtakov et al. 2007. Small ruminants predominated in the faunal assemblage. The excavators uncovered graves of a child (5-10 years) and two adults. Yabalkovo 2011. Oven from an Early Neolithic house.

Mikov, in 1947-1957 by V. Mikov and G. Georgiev (the East Trench), and since 1984 by S. Hiller and V. Nikolov (the South Trench) ( Hiller and Nikolov 1997. The excavations provided large ceramic assemblages with white painted pottery, as well as conflagrated houses with well-preserved interior features and inventories (floors, domed ovens, storage bins with charred grains, etc.). The plant assemblage included millet grains ( Marinova 2011.
