It's perhaps my most favorite restaurant in LA. the staff is attentive and friendly. the ambiance is cozy and unpretentious. and the food.the food is spectacular, especially the short ribs. suzanne goin is a culinary genius and it's evident in her seasonal menus. when i learned that her braised short ribs recipe was in her book, Sunday Suppers at Lucques. Sunday, February 22, 2009. French toast with blueberry sauce. Besides not having to go into work, another great thing about the weekend is BREAKFAST! You actually have to make it and enjoy it. 15 cups of blueberries. 1/2 cup of water. 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/4 teaspoon citrus rind (lemon, orange, grapefruit). Place all of the ingredients in a heavy sauce pan. bring to a boil and simmer for 10 mins. chill before serving. 1/4 cup of cream. 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 2 tablespoons of butter.

These suckers take a bit of manual labor but they are sure worth it in the end. the best thing about making your own eggrolls is that you can fill it with anything you like. get creative, try anything. its deep fried, so u know it will be good ;). 1 teaspoon of grated fresh ginger. 3 garlic cloves, finely minced. 1 tablespoon soy sauce. 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. 1 tablespoon of mirin. 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger. 1/2 teaspoon of salt. 1/2 teaspoon of ground white pepper.

I happen to love, love, love, Romaine lettuce with olive oil cooked outside on the grill. Lettuce isn't typically a vegetable that one would associate with grilling, but something magic happens to the greens when they cook and become charred by flame and fire. My recipe repertoire has just acquired an addition! Juice of 1/2 lemon.

In the cabinet, I had a can (don't gasp) of quartered artichoke hearts which I find to be a lovely ingredient when time is an issue. Do I prefer freshly cooked artichokes? It makes sense, since salt brings out the flavor in food and the dried pasta soaks up the cooking water. Pasta w/ Artichokes, Garlic and Celery. 1/2 LB dried Spaghetti. 1/4 cup good quality extra virgin olive oil.
