Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Katie's Baked Sweet Potato Fries. This post is a plug for my friend Katie's new blog. And a shining endorsement for her sweet potato fries. And she actually made up the recipe herself, not like my blog here where I just steal other recipes and make a slight change or two.). I made them tonight and they were. I ate about one and a half sweet potatoes worth and could have kept going, they were. Glad you liked them! Thanks for the good review! January 28, 2010 at 9:02 AM. Dalai ...

Broken Jelly: Confetti Spaghetti
http://brokenjelly.blogspot.com/2010/04/confetti-spaghetti.html
Sunday, April 25, 2010. One of my best friends from high school, Amy, and I used to make this variation on pasta primavera all the time. It was one of the few dishes for which we actually used a recipe. We spent a summer waitressing on the coast of Maine, living in a tiny apartment above a family friends' garage (ahhh.memories! And during that time we made up most of our kitchen creations ourselves.but this recipe was worth following. This is a Moosewood recipe, from the old version of. 1 cup minced onion.

Broken Jelly: November 2008
http://brokenjelly.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 24, 2008. Circa 1995, our friend Val invited a group of friends over around the holidays for a "potluck." Somewhere around 13 years later, Val has long become a permanent resident in Bosnia, but her holiday potluck tradition is still going strong. Times have changed.there are now more kids running around than there are empty wine bottles on the counter (maybe because half the women this year were pregnant? Many thanks to Mandy and Johnathan for hosting this year.). 2 1/2 cups sugar.

Broken Jelly: June 2009
http://brokenjelly.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Not the most original recipe, I know (in fact, one of my favorite bloggers, Catherine Newman. Is coincidentally also writing about hummus this week). I've tried many variations on it over the years, and of course it never comes out the same. This time, I tried to keep track of what I was doing so that if it came out good, I could replicate it. It came out great, I think! 1 can of garbanzo beans (15.5 oz), I used Goya brand this time. Juice of half a lemon. 2 tablespoons olive oil.
