Extolling the Virtues of Food: Antipasti and fish curry
http://extollingthevirtuesoffood.blogspot.com/2007/03/antipasti-and-fish-curry.html
Extolling the Virtues of Food. Journal of a Food Lover. Sunday, March 04, 2007. Antipasti and fish curry. Last night we had an enormous meal. It began with antipasti and sherry - we piled little plates with marinated garlic cloves, sunblush tomatoes, avocada salsa, cold, sliced ham, black olives, marinated white anchovies, pepperdews, warm ciabatta and many other goodies. Chilli/black mustard seed and garlic dressing. And then we had cheese. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Extolling the Virtues of Food: Sunday lunch
http://extollingthevirtuesoffood.blogspot.com/2007/03/sunday-lunch.html
Extolling the Virtues of Food. Journal of a Food Lover. Sunday, March 04, 2007. If I felt stuffed last night, today I feel like I'm bursting at the seams, after a fantastic Sunday lunch. Mum cooked roast pork with leeks from the garden (pulled this morning in the drizzly rain) in a white sauce, roast potatoes, roasted parsnips and swede, peas, apple sauce. I can't express how good this looks. I want to eat all of it. Please can we have pics of the garden and growing veggies? View my complete profile.

Extolling the Virtues of Food: This is the life
http://extollingthevirtuesoffood.blogspot.com/2007/03/this-is-life.html
Extolling the Virtues of Food. Journal of a Food Lover. Saturday, March 03, 2007. This is the life. It was fantastic. We guzzled the moist and tender chicken (with crispy bacon on top), perfect spuds. And a flavoursome mix of veg (onion, garlic, celery, parsnips, turnips and carrots, seasoned with black pepper and oregano). We also warmed a tin of sweetcorn for a bit of extra colour. Perfect. We had thought we'd get a takeaway but this was better by far. That bacon is just WOW. View my complete profile.

Extolling the Virtues of Food: Another Saturday fry-up
http://extollingthevirtuesoffood.blogspot.com/2007/03/another-saturday-fry-up.html
Extolling the Virtues of Food. Journal of a Food Lover. Saturday, March 03, 2007. I did miss tomatoes a bit, but I had lots of ketchup instead (sadly not pictured). And I see there was a nice space in the middle of the food where two halves of a cooked tomato could have nestled happily. That makes me miss them even more. Did you have toast with it as well? I hope so. Not the same without buttered toast. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. My other food blogs:. Kiplog - Food Blog.

Extolling the Virtues of Food. Journal of a Food Lover. Friday, December 29, 2006. Mustard and other horseradishes and mustards which went well too. For pudding we had a sort-of pavlova. Home-made meringue covered with a layer of whipped double cream, then a layer of British pears, sliced, and pomegranate seeds. Delicious. I've shown you a picture of it on my plate and a picture of it whole. It was all eaten very fast. Scrumptious. Thursday, December 28, 2006. Boxing Day Turkey Curry. Christmas pudding (...
