Football Nostalgia
Monday, 4 May 2015. Sad news that Jimmy Greaves has suffered a stroke :(. Best wishes to him and his family that he pulls through and can carry on a near normal life. Jimmy is one of the legends of English football, 44 goals in only 57 games for England although sadly injured during the 1966 World cup triumph, where his replacement Geoff Hurst filled his boots so well that Jimmy couldn't get back into the team (no substitutes back then). Here's a few pics, first one from my cuttings collection. Kids can'...

I must be mad for doing this
I must be mad for doing this. Monday, 4 June 2012. BBCs reputation nosedives as Jubilee coverage falls flat. I turned on the BBC expecting to see spectacular coverage of this royal occasion in the way that only the BBC can. It's long tradition of covering such events, from the coronation, Royal Weddings, Funerals, to the annual Trooping The Colour, surely with a tradition like that they couldn't let us down this time, could they? Well what did you expect? Perhaps for the net one in 10 years, standards ma...
