My shoulder surgery was exactly 3 weeks ago, and I still have 10 days to go in the sling. Unlike some slings, my hand does not stick out of the sling. There is a Nerf-type ball that I hold onto because it helps assure that my elbow, and thus my shoulder, is at the proper angle. So, I am literally able to use one hand. 1 Who can tie their shoes with one hand? 7 As does a cork screw.

Sunday, August 02, 2015. August is like the sunday of summer". What does that quote mean? What does it mean to you? I think I am the only one who saw that. When I read it to my husband he said. oh thats sad but true. He said he saw it as Sunday is the last day of the week. the end. August always seems like the official end of summer. hmmm. That's depressing. Well sure enough, several of my zumba students commented about it and they saw it exactly as he did. Who wrote this damn quote anyway?

Tuesday, December 23, 2014. She was diagnosed with an enlarged heart in the summer. Despite the meds she is on, she isn't doing too well. The dr. had said some little dogs do very well on the meds, some go downhill quickly. A dogs lifespan is just too short. She is only 10 and I think her breed can live as long as 16. Even 16, too young. Cosmo is going to be 13 in January. He is now hard of hearing has many lumps and bumps, arthritis in his legs, and will soon need some anal surgery! Mr and Mrs Petals.

I have noticed over the past ten years or so that I have started a tradition. It's one that Bear doesn't really care for. That's about the time when I started cooking Thanksgiving dinner myself. I don't like to cook. And that requires a whole lot of cooking. So, the few days before the holiday, I cook a meal that can be left-overed (lovely word I just made up) until Thanksgiving. Less cooking for me and it makes the meal that much more yummy when we eat it. That's what I'm talking about on 11/24/2009.

Tuesday, January 27, 2015. My beautiful Cockapoo Molly has gone to rest. She was always so loving, so sweet. Even times when she was being a pest. My heart is so broken, so hollow. She’s gone way too soon. I can feel her presence in every empty room. As I puzzle over why a dogs life’s extremely brief. A lesson discovered helps me cope with my aching grief. Friday, February 14, 2014. Ny has been hit with one of the worst winters. There's SO much Snow everywhere I look, I am imagining it may still be here for my August Birthday.
