Forks and scalpels give you better food orgasms. Trust me, I am a doctor. Ippudo: still the king of the hill. My foreign sojourn has finally ended (for now). Spain was amazing, but I do miss the New York food scene. There is no better way to express my renewed focus on the Big Apple than to re-visit and review Ippudo. Deep friend Japanese peppers with yuzu salt. It put edamame to shame. Ippudo is still the king of the hill- - the standard against which all future New York ramen places should be judged.

Forks and scalpels give you better food orgasms. Trust me, I am a doctor. It was one of those nights that I had an insatiable craving for hearty food. I could feel my carotid arteries yearning for cholesterol plagues. I heard a mob inside of me chanting "We want meat! I had no choice but to rise up to the challenge. I trekked all the way downtown to the Whole Foods at Columbus Circle, and bought 7 different kinds of organic, sustainably-sourced sausages. 1 Chicken pesto sausage. 3 Hot Italian pork sausage.

Forks N' Scalpels: El Bulli: one item off the bucket list
http://forksandscalpels.blogspot.com/2010/11/el-bulli-one-item-off-bucket-list.html
Forks and scalpels give you better food orgasms. Trust me, I am a doctor. El Bulli: one item off the bucket list. The night before our first and final date,. I asked myself,. Will I like her? If so, how long will she linger on my tongue? The connection goes: my dad's friend's (an orthopod) girlfriend's dad's (owner of a famous Hong Kong restaurant) colleague (a food critic for a major US newspaper) made the arrangements. I used up all 6 degrees of separation to reach El Bulli! My life is half complete.

Food makes my world go round. A Weekend in Bali Part III. Although our time in Bali was spent mostly on eating, lounging around and gaining weight, we did make an effort to do 1 (sort of) calorie burning activity. We went rafting! Truly breathtaking and not to mention FUN! It’s really quite something to see! Too bad I don’t have the picture here as I was too busy panting to take out my camera. The company I always use is Sobek. Walking down to the Ayung river. 62 361 977 547. Made's Mixed Rice. Br Pande ...

https://eatingsumo.com/2010/10/28/its-hairy-crab-season
Food makes my world go round. It’s Hairy Crab Season! My favorite time of the year is FINALLY here! No, not Halloween. It’s something WAY BETTER – unlike Halloween, it lasts for more than 1 day. It’s hairy crab season! These crabs don’t come cheap, but they are worth it! They only come to town once in a year so make sure to get your fill before the season ends. LOOK at all this wonderful roe. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm yummy cholesterol! I cannot wait to have this again soon! Crystal Jade Golden Palace Restaurant.

Sushi Kanesaka | Eating Sumo
https://eatingsumo.com/2010/06/21/sushi-kanesaka
Food makes my world go round. Our plane arrived in Tokyo at early morning. By the time we checked in at the hotel and freshened up, it was the perfect time for an early lunch. I had shortlisted a few sushi restaurants from the Tokyo Michelin guide and finally settled on this one – Sushi Kanesaka. About a 5 minute taxi ride from the Peninsula. Reservations highly recommended. And uni, Chef Kanesaka. Includes season specials that would be difficult to find outside of Japan. Building, Fl. B1. 81 3 5568 4411.
The Best Yakiniku in Singapore | Eating Sumo

Food makes my world go round. The Best Yakiniku in Singapore. I don’t know what it is with all things sleazy and really yummy food, but in Singapore, there seems to be a definite correlation between the 2. Case in point is Yakinikutei Ao-Chan, or Ao-Chan for short. Ao-Chan SERIOUSLY fits the bill and then some. Beef tongue. I have to admit that I don’t eat tongue but my friends ALWAYS order this item. Forget the wagyu. If you like bite-sized pieces of tender, tender meat (and who doesn’t? Perfect combina...
Tokyo Binge | Eating Sumo
https://eatingsumo.com/2010/06/26/tokyo-binge
Food makes my world go round. Tokyo is a city I know I will keep going back to – kawaii-ness is everywhere, simple things are perfected, wrapping of mundane purchases become an art and of course, where great food seem (or maybe really is) endless. My wish list for Tokyo keeps growing longer with the many recommendations I get from family and friends. During my last trip there, I managed to find a few new favorite Tokyo spots. The expletives were well justified. This crepe joint was recommended by a fello...

Food makes my world go round. Santi Santamaria in Singapore. As soon as I finished my 3-hour meal at Santi, I couldn’t wait to blog about it. So here it is, fresh from the oven…. I wasn’t sure what to expect of this meal as I haven’t really met people who have tried Santi, but the brief introduction that’s written in the menu gives you a good idea…. 8220;The quest for product is the basis of my cuisine together with imagination and the simplicity of those who strive for perfection”. 8211; Santi Santamaria.
Down and dirty in Jakarta | Eating Sumo
https://eatingsumo.com/2011/05/22/down-and-dirty-in-jakarta
Food makes my world go round. Down and dirty in Jakarta. It’s officially been 85 days since my last blog post. How embarrassing! Talk about self discipline (or my obvious lack of). Due to a lack of a better excuse, my new job (almost 5 months in now) has really been keeping me busy. I spend the majority of my waking day hunched over a laptop now and I’ve developed quite an allergy to it since. I’m determined to get my blogging mojo back though…slowy but surely. Sign reads: Krekot Pork Skewers Stall.

Forks and Needles
Tuesday, June 08, 2010. I'm bored with Blogger, so I'm packing up my posts, photos, and comments, and moving to http:/ www.forksandneedles.wordpress.com. The Wordpress premade themes are prettier, and it seems like you can do a lot more stuff. Goodbye to Blogger! I've imported my old posts to Wordpress, and I think it went well. There is some odd formatting in some of the old posts, but I don't know if I'll go back to fix them. What's past is past. Monday, June 07, 2010. No Thinking or Resting, only Doing.
Forks and Needles
Aging, Pain, Fear. So much has happened recently: I turned 39, I acquired a husband-guy, and I started having chronic migraines. To cut to the heart of things, I think I’ve entered perimenopause, and I’ve set up an appointment with my gynecologist to discuss this matter. My symptoms:. Obviously, pre-ovulation headaches. And chronic migraines in general. Still nothing really coming out? 8221; And then it’s over. Nausea. So much nausea. Increase in facial hair – SO MUCH MORE! Sore joints and muscles. Y...

Forks N' Scalpels
Forks and scalpels give you better food orgasms. Trust me, I am a doctor. Wow, it's been a long hiatus! Too bad, there's been a little something called "residency application" that got in the way. But I am now back in action, and determined to try as many places as possible before graduation, just in case I will be doing my internship outside of the Big Apple. All in all, it was a pretty good experience. I didn't get to try Baohaus' signature Chairman Bao. Braised all natural Berkshire pork belly,. Serve...

Forks and Spoons | A couple of guys who like to cook!
A More Elegant Deviled Egg: Deviled Eggs with Tarragon. July 25, 2015. You can’t have Easter brunch without eggs, specifically my favorite egg dish: deviled eggs! I wanted something different than the typical kind you find at a gathering in the American South. After tasting this, I found that I love this a lot more than the traditional recipe! 6 hard-boiled eggs (boil a couple more in case they don’t look so nice after you peel them). 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil. 1 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard.
