Pontificum Scriblerus: November 2011
http://pontificumscriblerus.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Dabbling in Doctoring and Fiddling in Fables. Thursday, November 17, 2011. Ignore the above "pun" as the ramblings of a very tired test-taker who has had it with the very word "boards." What I was trying to convey by using such a terrible play on words is that taking the GI boards was torture. However, it is over - for now. The next day, when I rejoined reality, I had some crazy amount of patients to see, and faked them ALL out by getting it done. I walked to DSW afterwards, breathing in the air smoggy&#...

Pontificum Scriblerus: April 2011
http://pontificumscriblerus.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Dabbling in Doctoring and Fiddling in Fables. Tuesday, April 26, 2011. How I Met Your Mother is actually a great show. It's funny because technically, the guys on that show are older than Friends were when they started, and yet, when I watch Friends, I still see them as sophisticated grownups living in New York, and when I watch How I Met Your Mother, I totally relate and see them as peers. Frames of reference change, I suppose. You're gonna be a terrible mother! Ah, but not for long! Person. She sai...

Pontificum Scriblerus: September 2011
http://pontificumscriblerus.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Dabbling in Doctoring and Fiddling in Fables. Monday, September 26, 2011. Me, in fellowship. Saturday, September 3, 2011. My family and I packed up our belongings and moved for the 9th time in the last decade. So, after a brief happy period living where I always thought I'd live, I've moved progressively further away with each uprooting. We had an F town, then half hour west past the boroughs, and now, I'm in absolute no man's land! I find myself suddenly drawn to long skirts and walking around barefoot.

Pontificum Scriblerus: December 2010
http://pontificumscriblerus.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Dabbling in Doctoring and Fiddling in Fables. Tuesday, December 21, 2010. Spring of 2006 II. Hubby's parents came up to join us. They planned to hang out with us for a few days, but couldn't stay too long, because his grandfather was still in the hospital or in a rehab, status post total hip replacement after his fall and fracture. Just like that, out of nowhere. She seemed emotionless at the time. What do you really say to a person who just got that kind of news right in front of you? My husband was sha...

Pontificum Scriblerus: Mommy wars
http://pontificumscriblerus.blogspot.com/2012/02/mommy-wars.html
Dabbling in Doctoring and Fiddling in Fables. Thursday, February 2, 2012. I have not written in a while, mostly because I've been uninspired. To write something good, you have to be in the midst of some sort of angst, I'm convinced of that. Otherwise, everything sounds canned. What did I have to anguish about? I like my job, I love my kid, I hate the neighborhood - but how much can I really whine about that? And forgive me if I have discussed this before, and am repeating myself. Oh, it's your third baby!

Pontificum Scriblerus: An impressionable youth
http://pontificumscriblerus.blogspot.com/2012/02/impressionable-youth.html
Dabbling in Doctoring and Fiddling in Fables. Tuesday, February 21, 2012. We all know this about me: I am easily influenced, highly impressionable and moderately obsessive. But even I am surprised. You see, I read a book. I mean, if the author's message was about misplaced passions, the shelf-life of love, women enablers and the untameable nature of the artiste. Dialogue out of my head. Although, I do wonder if this was admittedly fictional with invented characters, would I have had the same reaction?
