The Schmidt Family: March 2011
http://kschmidtfamilynews.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Happy 9 Months, Kate Bug! My baby is 9 months old.already! Katelyn is doing a good job keeping her mommy extra busy, she is such a little mover! About a week after she started crawling she started doing this. We never moved anything up high with Ellie just told her things were for looking only, not touching. It must have been easier with her since she was so much older. It does not work at all with this baby! That's not for babies! We're not-so-patiently waiting for more spring...

The Schmidt Family: January 2011
http://kschmidtfamilynews.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 6, 2011. It snowed and snowed on Christmas Eve. Ellie had fun watching the snowplows all day, baking cookies for Santa and playing outside. This was our first big snowfall of winter and I think we got about 8-10 inches that day. Taking baby Annie for a ride down the sidewalk. Our family as snowmen (with the real Ellie standing by! Look closely at Katelyn's leaf mohawk haha! Ellie's hair reflects the 5:30 gift opening time! Kevin and I just looked at each other and laughed. Instead, Elli...

We have some amazing plans coming up to start a great year. Our year and a half with Katelyn has gone by so quickly! We love her so much and life would just be boring without her. Katelyn in ...

Monday, March 22, 2010. Memories with Papa Joe. It’s been a busy couple of weeks around here, some good some bad. Unfortunately we both ended up with colds. So far no fevers so we are staying clear of the doctor. We will miss him but never forget the fun memories…. Ellie just home from the hospital with Papa Joe. I know Papa isn't in this picture but Pedretti's Bakery in Elkader was his legacy. This is Ellie being weighed in the bakery scale, a tradition with all of the kids. We love you, Dad. I swear sh...

The Schmidt Family: June 2010
http://kschmidtfamilynews.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 25, 2010. Ellie has officially completed her first year of swimming lessons.Puddle Jumpers. How cute is that? She was a little timid the first day not knowing what to do or expect. This little fishy caught on quick and is blowing bubbles, kicking, letting us hold her to back float, and going under all by herself! Working on those kicks while front floating. Look at that champ going all the way under, woohoo! The dreaded back float that is now a success! Getting ready to jump in. That’s...

The Schmidt Family: December 2010
http://kschmidtfamilynews.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 6, 2010. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! We haven't made it out to play in the snow yet since it's only 15 degrees but Ellie went out to help Daddy shovel on Saturday. That’s about as greedy and generous as you can get! This year we are continuing some traditions and starting up new ones. Ellie and I went to see the Nutcracker again this year, a tradition we started last year that will probably always be my favorite. Charlie showed up in Ellie's room the first day. I canR...

Monday, August 16, 2010. A Day in Des Moines. I'm goin' to the zoo, zoo, zoo! How about you, you, you? Another Raffi song, we just can't get enough.or can we? After our busy first weekend in August we decided to keep the momentum going. On Sunday we headed down to Des Moines to visit Kevin's grandma and to visit the zoo! The Blank Park Zoo is the perfect size for a three-year-old. Ellie walked most of it and there were enough animals to keep things interesting. The train was a fun extra, too. When Life H...
