Welcome to the seahorse.org. Looking for contributions for the library, so if you see something missing and you have knowledge about it, write it up and send it to Marc. Seahorse Facts and Information For New Keepers. Includes information on how to select your seahorse, what type and size tank you need, the temperature and food requirements etc. Consider this the most important document for a beginner to read! And thoughts on buying from an LFS. Guide to Buying from an LFS. Caring for Dwarf Seahorses.

This is a waaaaaay out of date referance. Please do not refer to this information for tank sizes, medication or tankmates. It is based on what we knew back in 2003 which was 7 years ago - we have learned a lot since then! I will try to get the updated version live and correctly installed quickly. In the interrum, please refer to the linked PDF file. It is also a few years old, but offers better information, the current 'state of play' will be up shortly! UPDATED: 26 December 2003. Is the seahorse eating?

Apr 7, 2015. Molly Miller Blennies eat Aiptasia and algae. House of fins in Greenwich, CT employs some professional aquarists with incredibly impressive resumes. One of those was Ken Wingerter - marine scientist, author, marine ornamental fish beeeder, and jack of all trades in the science and aquarium fields. Ken explained that when he was working in an aquaculture facility, they had a major outbreak of Aiptasia. But the tanks housing molly miller blennies never had Aiptasia in them. Links to this post.

I took them to the Fish Factory in Bristol, PA where I work and put them in our 90 gallon corner display tank (you're all welcome to visit them any time! But hobbyist...

Nov 2, 2011. Sea Star-Eating Nano Shrimps. One of my favorite aquariums is my 10 gallon nano reef aquarium. It contains only corals, crustaceans, and other invertebrates, so it's easier to keep clean. Some of the most interesting crustaceans in this tank are the sea star-eating shrimps: Harlequin shrimp Hymenocera elegans. And Bumblebee shrimp Gnathophyllum americanum. Stars, Chocolate Chip or African Knob, Linkia. Or Sand sifting stars. Linkia and Fromia stars are difficult to keep in captivity and ...
