Standing on His Promise: Home Study Denied
http://fosterfamilywalkoffaith.blogspot.com/2013/07/home-study-denied.html
Standing on His Promise. A Foster Family's Walk of Faith. Monday, July 15, 2013. Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord,. Or who has been his counselor? Or who has given a gift to him. That he might be repaid? For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.". When I am afraid,. I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise,. 8220;With ma...

Standing on His Promise. A Foster Family's Walk of Faith. Thursday, June 14, 2012. In one huge rush, everything came flooding into my brain. Friday, June 8, 2012. I forgot to keep you posted! The case manager answered my agency's phone call and said, "Ohhh.I was just. Then, my husband's sister got married with a ...

Standing on His Promise: January 2013
http://fosterfamilywalkoffaith.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Standing on His Promise. A Foster Family's Walk of Faith. Friday, January 25, 2013. As January 21st approached, my husband and I began to ask the questions: Should we do anything special for MLK Day? Should we attempt some kind of education about MLK, Jr. and his role in our history? Made all people equal. K-Man knows his skin color is different from yours. He's not blind. So the emphasis is God's good creation in diversity. Okay, you'll have to be simpler than that.). The first thing I did was a total f...

Standing on His Promise. A Foster Family's Walk of Faith. Friday, December 13, 2013. I don't have much time, but I wanted to just write a quick update in an attempt to be real and honest and transparent. We are going through some of the darkest days we've ever had to go through over here, and emotions are different than we ever imagined them being. Count it all joy, my brothers,. When you meet trials. Of various kinds,. For you know that. The testing of your faith. That you may be. Perfect and complete,.

never bored: August 2010
http://emrhoades.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 20, 2010. I Know What I Did This Summer. So I haven’t updated since May, but after reading this post in its entirety (if you so choose! I think you will understand why. We have had quite a busy summer! We have not touched the bathroom since May, except for one day we were home and sealed grout. In fact, this is the first day since May that I haven’t felt like I was rushing around trying to get something done, something ready, something packed, etc. So here’s a rundown:. Again, I was in cha...

Saturday, October 9, 2010. The Great Bathroom RENO #7. Stop all the potty talk! Anyway, so we get the sucker home only to find it is like 3 inches out from the wall! Used, I just mean they put in the wax ring and tried to install it, then decided to box it all back up and return it to HD like it was brand new. It was so disgusting, that we couldn't even set it down on the tile floor to dry-fit it! We still don't understand how this stupid toilet could have been marked a 12 in when it was. Now its time fo...

Living, Learning, and Loving in Kentucky. Confessions of a Christian wife, mom, foster parent. This is my life, thoughts, and dreams. Tuesday, April 22, 2008. Vaccines can trigger autism. Watch this: http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? Recently Julie Gerberding, the head of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), appeared on Dr. Sanjay Gupta's show House Call. Then read this, by Dr. Mercola. So which is it? In 1976, children received 10 vaccines before attending school, and in the early 1980...
never bored: February 2010
http://emrhoades.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 26, 2010. The Great Bathroom RENO #3. So last week I told you about the stud where the closet used to be that hung down about an inch. Jonathan came up with a really great solution to that problem! We were planning on putting beadboard on the ceiling anyway, so he suggested we just get some boards and nail them up to the existing studs to “drop” the ceiling about an inch…clever, clever! So we spent for-ev-er at home depot picking out what could have been every 2x3 they had that was even.

Friday, May 21, 2010. The Great Bathroom RENO #5. Ok you know you are a slacker-blogger when you actually have to go back and read your last blog to see where you have left off! To look at the pictures I posted last time makes me feel awesome because we have really come a LONG way since then. Well, that happened but it was still him trying. It was like he barely touched the knob with the wrench and it basically flew off. Whew.glad that worked :). So generally, you are supposed to install the back wall fi...

Living, Learning, and Loving in Kentucky. Confessions of a Christian wife, mom, foster parent. This is my life, thoughts, and dreams. Wednesday, February 06, 2013. Foster Parent Mentor Match. I did my mentor training in February of 2011. I finally was matched with a new foster family in September of 2012, and officially became a mentor on October 1st. Yes, the state works *that* slowly! I have so far enjoyed mentoring. I love helping people, and this is a way to not only share what I've learned, but ...

What's New with the Foster's
What's New with the Foster's. Saturday, July 16, 2011. Swimming Like a Fish. Just wanted to share some videos from Camden's swim lessons. He started on Monday morning being pried off of me and I left him in the arms of the swim instructor (screaming for his mommy and refusing to go in the water); but he ended the class (eight, 45 minutes sessions) by jumping off the diving board! Standing on His Promise
Standing on His Promise. A Foster Family's Walk of Faith. Friday, September 19, 2014. Dark Days Give Way to Light. Last September, I failed to tell you a very important piece of news. We had an assembly today, and we wrote down our wishes, because all of our wishes can come true! I wished that I could stay at your house forever! And then the waterworks started as I turned my head. Why must we tell lies to children? Over the course of those next several months, we went through alternating periods of being...
