Fredag 2. november 2007. Jeg kom til Cusco i går, var på Machu Picchu i dag og reiser til Lima i morgen! Vi er en gjeng fra båten som ville ta turen og gjett om det var verdt det! Blogger grundig når jeg er nede fra høyden og ombord igjen. Det kan hende jeg må få lov til å bruke ordet fantastisk én eneste gang til her i bloggen - for å si det sånn! Vi tar igjen Fram i Pisco. Søndag 28. oktober 2007. Manta og Montecristi, Ecuador. Det tar alt fra en dag til flere måneder å lage en panamahatt. De fineste hattene kalles super fino. Og flettes av utrolig tynne fibre av toquillapalmeblader. Det tar lang tid og må gjøres om natten, så fletteren ikke ødelegger hatten med svette fingre. Tirsdag 13. november 2007. Chacabuco – Puerto Aisén, Chile. Chacabuco er et knøttlite kystsamfunn i de chilenske fjordene, mest ei havn egentlig. Et kvartes kjøretur unna ligger Puerto Aisén (eller Aysen), en by så liten at ikke engang Lonely Planet. Den som husker å ta med sitt hode og sitt kamera på reisen trenger ingen handlegate.
