A Blog of Hours. A life, in instalments. Lughnasadh, the first day of the last month of summer; the start of the harvest season, and a time to focus on and be grateful for the abundance in our lives. It’s been a good, if tiring week. A lot of laughs and friendliness at the office. I brought in a strawberry tart I’d made with the berries I’d picked at the weekend – didn’t look like much but it was full of flavour. Lammas fields (view from the farm shop). I love this area. A Blog of Hours. A life, in instalments. Meats-in-a-bun, gourmet Spanish style. It was another pleasant day of abundance. The town centre was full of stalls with friendly people inviting you to try samples of almost everything; crowds drifted amiably past, happy to oblige. Music and the aroma of sausages also drifted past in the hot sunlight, and now and again there was a waft of cheese or baked goods. Cheese, glorious cheese. There’s even Marmite Cheddar.
