I am still on a not-so-active-just-incidental search to find a macaron in Australia which can satiate my cravings for those found in Paris (or any place where I can get fresh Pierre Herme). Shocolate. Might have a good shot. They've won the award for Best Chocolate Macaron. Just around the corner from Naked for Satan, I stopped after our lunch and bought a few to test the waters. Despite being quite warm and nearly 3km away, we deicded to walk from Arzak back to the city centre. We had a very strange moment when a woman started randomly speaking to us on the street - she was from the Philippines and was in Spain to visit her son. We're not really sure why she started talking to us (other than us all being Asians? No matter. Totally gorgeous.

This weekend has been one of those glorious long May weekends due to Catholic holidays, and people planned a number of events that I'd agreed to attend. Now, I'm not sure exactly what I've been doing for the last few weeks, but I've clearly been very tired because I seem to be waking up 10-15 minutes before I was supposed to meet friends at said events. Here's a basic summary of what (I think) had been going on in the past few months. November - My wisdom teeth finally came out. The surgery was kind of brutal with many people amazed at both the extent of bruising post-surgery but also the speed of my recovery. December - Miss Pooky came to visit for Xmas! I roasted an epic chicken for Xmas dinner. May - This month was insane.
