The Trentanelli Family: February 2013
http://trentanelli-family.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 14, 2013. A few weeks ago, the boys and I spent the better part of a morning on Valentine's Day projects. Both Anthony and Jim were focused on selecting perfect hearts, and creating pink and red and purple (and orange and black) masterpieces. We crafted decorations for our house, and made Valentine's Day cards for some of our favorites. And so I set to work, and began exploring my (digital) treasure trove of photographs. Or this picture, of a nine-month-old James. I have a confession.

The Trentanelli Family: February 2014
http://trentanelli-family.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 23, 2014. I think that (some) of Dan's dreams are coming true. He has succeeded in making Anthony a mat rat. Or, in more polite terms, a wrestler. Dan stepped away from coaching at the high school level, and became involved in my district's youth wrestling program. Working with school-age kids not only gave him the wrestling fix he needs each winter, but allowed him and Anthony to connect in a new way. Which has led to Anthony developing into a mat rat. And shrug off their losses. I've g...

The Trentanelli Family: January 2013
http://trentanelli-family.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 31, 2013. So Long, January! This first month of January has been a blessed combination of unremarkable and amazing. There were no singular moments that stand out. Rather, this month has been filled with hundreds of seemingly ordinary moments that create a beautiful composition. Nor surprisingly, January was filled with family events, and plenty of opportunities for the cousins to remember how much they adore each other. The boys discovered new ways to send us into fits of laughter.

The Trentanelli Family: November 2012
http://trentanelli-family.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 25, 2012. For one reason of another, I have shied away from social media sites. Dan and I still don't have Facebook accounts, and though I was forced to use Twitter for a grad class earlier this year, I have not logged on since summer. However, now that I've taken a baby step into the 21st century and purchased an iPhone, I've been dipping my cyber toes into places like Pinterest and Instagram. My mom and grandma looked extra special as they hammed it up for the camera. Again, the weathe...

The Trentanelli Family: June 2013
http://trentanelli-family.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 12, 2013. As a kid, we went to quite a few Indians games (once the new field was constructed). I can remember getting a few burns in the "sun tan seats" my dad often selected, and cheering on the Tribe All Stars of the mid-1990's. The games were fun, but I was by no means an intense fan. This year has been extra special, because Anthony he was finally (nearly) old enough to be on the city team. Like backyard practices, he takes it seriously. His uniform has to be. To be fair, he isn't an ...

The Trentanelli Family: March 2013

Wednesday, March 20, 2013. I take an egg. And then I dip. It out of sight. I leave it there. Then after a minute. I pick it up. The prettiest Easter egg. Coloring Easter Eggs" by Sarah Benedetti. Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Somebody forgot to tell the local meteorologists that it is nearly spring. We woke up this morning to another promise of snow and temperatures that keep us stuck indoors. Monday, March 11, 2013. Sometimes I need an escape. I hate my life and want to run away escape. In the past, I’...

The Trentanelli Family: April 2014
http://trentanelli-family.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Today I feel blessed to live in a place where my kids can be outdoors, and experience water and dirt and sunshine through play. When I ask the boys the list their favorite places to go, their list is simple, but telling. The sun may not be shining today, but our river ain't burning and we're not choking on smog, so we will go outside to play and wish everyone we see a Happy Earth Day. Fairport Harbor Lakefront Beach Park. As much as I have "good ol' boys" (as my neighbor commente...
