Would be playing the role of a slightly deranged schoolteacher in a so-called téléfilm. A movie made to be aired on TV), I was intrigued in the same way as when I once heard—in a totally different domain—that the great Lance Armstrong. Adjani's dr...

Paternal genealogy: Gap filled in by ancient will
http://lastoflands.blogspot.com/2009/09/gap-filled-in-by-ancient-will.html
Saturday, September 19, 2009. Gap filled in by ancient will. In chapter 6 of the initial version of my monograph, presenting an ancestral line back to King John. I indicated the existence of a small 18th-century documentary gap concerning the descent from John Latton. Of Walton-on-Thames [1643-1727] down to Henry Latton. It was annoying. Fortunately, my retrieval of the will of the above-mentioned John Latton provides precious data that fills in the gap. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Thursday, May 14, 2009. Kennedy and Cranston families. I have just uploaded to my website entitled A Little Bit of Irish. An initial version of the chapter concerning the Kennedy. In starting this chapter, I have been largely motivated by a recent unexpected encounter with a Queensland cousin whose maiden name was Frances Kennedy. Married name, Dawn Mohr. We now know the name of the Kennedys' native village in Ulster: Brookeborough. Married a Scottish girl, Catherine McMaster. Then in nearby Emmaville.

Reflections from an Australian expatriate in France. Friday, May 15, 2015. Yanks in control of an Aussie Eden. Saturday, September 19, 2009. Quaint piece of old English literature. My second-cousin Robert Pickering. In Queensland recently drew my attention to the existence of a specimen of old English literature that was edited and published by John Pickering. 1851-1926]. Antipodes: The day that England thrashed France
http://skyvington.blogspot.com/2015/06/the-day-that-england-thrashed-france.html
Reflections from an Australian expatriate in France. Thursday, June 18, 2015. The day that England thrashed France. In France, it's a fact, rightly or wrongly, that few folk celebrate the Battle of Waterloo. Which took place exactly two centuries ago, on 18 June 1815. My wife and I used to drive to Waterloo often when we were living in Brussels, but it’s an uninteresting place. Funnily enough, I’ve always been intrigued by the fact that the illustrious Napoléon Bonaparte. On June 18, 1940. After working ...
