Thoughts and events of the day: July 2010
http://thoughtsandeventsoftheday.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 6 July 2010. A glimpse of England. I have decided to place a few shots of various places that I have visited in England in the past few years. It will give you a flavour of the variety of scenery you can find on a visit to our country. The shot below is of the choir of perhaps the most famous cathedral in England. This part of Canterbury cathedral was built by the Normans, as can be seen in the rounded arches. This is a shot of one of the splendid stain-glass windows. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Today I shall ...: ..tell you about moi
http://procrastinatorextraodinaire.blogspot.com/p/tell-you-about-moi.html
Today I shall . Tell you about moi. Tell you about moi. I am a forty something teacher and mother of four boys. Started life in Wales, studied in England and then moved back and forth between Wales and England for twenty odd years whilst fitting in as many holidays to France that finances allowed. During this time I renovated 4 properties and sadly moved on pretty much as soon as each was completed. When I do get blogging again you may even get to see a bit more ;). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). On my TV: Not watching anything at the minute I've decide to give TV a bye ball for a while. On the menu for tonight: Shepherd's pie with yesterday's left over lamb. On my To Do List: Ironing again! Carolien's stitches: November 2014
http://caroliensstitches.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 25 November 2014. A week off . Have you spotted the white veil over the lawn this morning? Bird bath frozen, pansies heads down, white leaves . We had a touch of frost earlier on, but I think King Winter has really arrived now. Time for my cherished scarf from Jenny, I took it out a few days ago. Mmm, so lovely, that scarf. Yes, there are remnants of summer, nature continues to amaze me. But in a few days the leaves were swirling down, almost in a hurry . See the tree now, by the way? Oops, you ...

http://caroliensstitches.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, 30 April 2015. I hope you're all doing well. It's still cold here in Holland, we even had a late touch of frost. Time for some more warmth now, time to put the geraniums out! Yes, I'm politely waiting till the ice Saints have greeted us and have left the country for this year . The plants and trees are turning green rapidly though, thanks to the rain we had. Talking about green: I made my first olive green garland on the. Sampler. Lovely colours, I'm enjoying this new start. Home of a Quilter.

Carolien's stitches: February 2015
http://caroliensstitches.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, 27 February 2015. While she's traveling . While Sofia is traveling by train to Zevenaar, I can show you my present for her. Last week I finished the top for her quilt. After more than two years! I had some 'in-betweens', I must confess. A baby quilt, Cock and Yvette's quilt . Since Sofia was so patient to wait and wait and wait, I decided to speed up the process. How on earth do you quilt a thimble quilt? It's a very lively but tiny pattern. Small patterns? Endless. Big patterns? Driving back hom...
