You don't need a lot of fabric just enough to make 2 5 inch light colored block and 2 5 inch dark colored blocks. It's a fun way to use up scraps. Cut a piece of template plastic or thin cardboard into a five inch square. Draw a line down the middle of the template. Draw a line from the 1/4 inch mark diagonal across the square.

Wednesday, January 5, 2011. Happy New Year and I start again. On to the more important stuff like the sewing and crafting- I have of course made way too many plans for my crafting Christmas and of course I did not get all of my hopes and dreams made but there is always this year I think I will start this month and have a Christmas Craft Day. Friday, October 23, 2009. My fifth boy and his baby quilt. Here are some of the finished blocks when I was assembling them. Here is the finished quilt- I was inspired by the wonky blocks on tallgrass prairie studio's blog and all of her fun and modern quilts. Wednesday, May 4, 2011. Green with envy- Modern Quilt Guild Challenge. I really want to be a better blogger but it never seems to work out for me- of course I have an excuse- my computer was dying and it was horrible to work with it until it finally gave up the ghost and we had to buy another one. Here is a fun quilt I made for the monochromatic Modern Quilt Guild Challenge. I didn't win but it is the first quilt I have ever truly finished for myself. So in the end I am a winner! Quilts I took to Florida.
