Morningside Farmers’ Market | Unregarded Edinburgh
https://unregardededinburgh.wordpress.com/2014/04/20/morningside-farmers-market
Photos of Edinburgh not found on shortbread tins. Tucked away round the back of Merlin Public House on Morningside Road is one of the more secret Farmer’s markets in Edinburgh, and one of the nicer. The back car park of the Merlin is a surprisingly large space in crowded Morningside, where on every third Saturday it is transformed into if not a full on Farmer’s market than a local and artisan’s market (which is every bit as good). Where there is real engagement between artisan and customer. April 20, 2014.

What makes a liveable city liveable? With added meditations on planning and community councils). Tomorrow, the Licensing Committee of the Council will decide whether or not to issue a license for 'On the roll' - as can be seen here it is a German hotdog stand. They have this stand often on George Square, and I think also sometimes on North Bridge, but they have applied for a license also on Colinton Road, in South Edinburgh, outside Napier University (I'll try to add some pictures later). I would suggest...

Back Green Summer | Unregarded Edinburgh
https://unregardededinburgh.wordpress.com/2015/07/15/back-green-summer
Photos of Edinburgh not found on shortbread tins. Too often one can find that an Edinburgh tenement back green at this time of year is a riot of rank grass and wild buddlia. Not so in Meadowbank Crescent where one back gree stands as a tranquil oasis in the very heart of the city, and shows what can be done with a bit of imagination and a load of work. This jewel is the product of twenty-seven years and has become a little wildlife sanctuary. Would there were more. This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

Thomas Paine From The Life | Unregarded Edinburgh

Photos of Edinburgh not found on shortbread tins. Thomas Paine From The Life. One of the joys of working in Edinburgh is that beneath the modern gloss and bustle, there are quite so many connections to be found between the city and the founders of the America State. Tom Paine was an immense figure in the forming of voice and writings for both the American Revolution and the French Revolution. Many hold that without him and his writings such as. The revolution might never have happened. So why was he here?

Photos of Edinburgh not found on shortbread tins. The Hills Have Ayes. The Scottish Referendum seems to be bringing out the imaginative in its campaigners. The photo above which was submitted to the Edinburgh Evening News is a sheer delight. (I dont know who took this but if someone lets me know then I will credit them.). Its just a bit of fun. I cannot remember any time politics has quite so grabbed people’s imaginations and promoted such involvement even the 79 referendum. And tagged Banner on Hillend.

Photos of Edinburgh not found on shortbread tins. Author Archives: David Macadam. I had an interest in the underdogs of life early on, and started drawing political cartoons whilst still at school and have been giving people the benefit of my opinions ever since. I have drawn for national newspapers and travelled extensively in the States over many years. Having graduated with both a History degree and a Law degree taught me the skills for hunting wasps in libraries. This entry was posted in Uncategorized.
