Tye' meaning enclosure or common pasture is an area of registered common land. It is managed sensitively using traditional farming methods ensuring wildflowers, insects and ground nesting birds can flourish. Each month we organise tasks on the Tye, usually on a Saturday or Sunday. These range from scrub clearance, path and gate maintenance to litter picking and surveys and are carried out either on the main Tye, between Saltdean and Telscombe Cliffs or on the E-piece. Children are welcome on the tasks but must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Created in a round pond container - intended for pebble fountains but just the right size for a small garden. So easy to make- just find a level site, fill with water and a few water plants and hey presto! Thursday, June 11, 2015.
