OpsLicious: We are diamonds
http://opslicious.blogspot.com/2010/10/christmas-is-coming.html
Life in Back office/Operations and life life life. Friday, October 15, 2010. It's mid October but I can't help but think that Christmas is already around the corner. I mean, was it not just like. erm. 10 months ago that we had Christmas? Time flies and you don't need to be a genius to know that. Life has been generally good. You take the good and the bad together and so long you enjoy the good and learn from the bad, you'll just be find. The point is that if you keep comparing, you will never end. Be...

OpsLicious: Year 2009
http://opslicious.blogspot.com/2009/12/year-2009.html
Life in Back office/Operations and life life life. Thursday, December 31, 2009. 2009 was eventful, work-wise, only because of the very bad start. Gosh, I remember over Christmas 2008, it was "hell". Due to a mistake (or rather, a series of mistakes from the same root cause), we basically lost quite some money. enough to put one's career in jeopardy. And so, 2009 started with mopping all the problem. It sucks to drive a bus that was mis-handled for long and waiting to break-down! But life goes on. I p...

OpsLicious: February 2011
http://opslicious.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Life in Back office/Operations and life life life. Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Of late, the theme of "you are dealt your own pack of cards" has been ringing in my mind. I was thinking back in my first few years in the company and on the current job. Things were different one might say but I truly believe that you simply make do with what you are given and move on and make your own history. With some key people missing, you get to delve into the nuts and bolts and take the opportunity to change thing (hope...

OpsLicious: Staff Crunch
http://opslicious.blogspot.com/2010/07/staff-crunch.html
Life in Back office/Operations and life life life. Friday, July 2, 2010. Tis the season again; good and bad. The economy is looking good and it seems that it's an employees' market. Is it? I do not know what is in store but I have a feeling that some people are in for a big surprise; getting a pay rise is good only for the long term only if you can ensure that in 10 year's time, someone 15 years your junior can't do about the same thing you are doing at a mere fraction of your salary! Hot tea, no milk an...

OpsLicious: May 2008
http://opslicious.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Life in Back office/Operations and life life life. Sunday, May 11, 2008. Manchester United Football Club is the champion again, for the 10th time. It was a fantastic finish with 2 goals. It was not without missed heartbeat though! Could have a been a penalty against ManU when Rio "shouldered" the ball away in the penalty area, and when Paul Schole hacked down an opponent after he had already received a yellow card. There are important projects to be achieved and we have only 6 months left. It's going...

OpsLicious: Christmas is coming!
http://opslicious.blogspot.com/2010/11/christmas-is-coming.html
Life in Back office/Operations and life life life. Tuesday, November 2, 2010. I think I used that title? Well, I heard that in London the Christmas decors are already installed. It's early November and Orchard road in Singapore is not yet decorated. Raffles City has started to install its traditional huge Christmas tree. This week is a shorter one - deepavali. Might plan for a driving trip to Melaka, stay overnight and come back. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

OpsLicious: March 2008
http://opslicious.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Life in Back office/Operations and life life life. Saturday, March 29, 2008. Take the job". That was about the last thing that I conveyed at the end of last week. Boy! It was a good time to listen and to re-direct, on top of reviewing 2007. Somehow, maybe the fact of having a performance review makes such discussion different from the numerous I have along the way. One thing that was re-inforced in me was: whatever might happen, will happen, at the worst time! Links to this post. Sunday, March 23, 2008.
