From Here to Istanbul. Thursday, September 22, 2011. September 21 was the 6-month anniversary of Cristy's stem cell transplant. And it's been an amazing six months! Cristy's skin has cleared up, is much softer, and no longer tight and painful. Her esophageal issues have cleared up. She has color in her face (compare the picture above with the one in the profile (she's on the right.) . Her back pains have subsided. She's regaining her stamina and is not sleeping throughout the day and into the night.

And her skin continues to retain the elasticity it lost from the scleroderma - you'd never know she once had the skin of a non-Oil-of-Olay 65-year-old.
