This book by H Spencer Lewis of the Rosicrucian Order AMORC is said to fill in the details of the life of Jesus not in the Bible and provides alternate explanations (sometimes "corrections") for much of what is in the Bible about Jesus as compared to common understanding. There is much discussion on the mystical as the book progresses. Gives some interesting perspective, I think.

Nice lengths for the most part for an average commute on bus or train - maybe need the round trip to get through some of the longer ones. Will keep you entertained and might even provoke deep thinking in some cases. My favorite quote from the book is, "forgiveness is final". That's something to ponder. Where I share thoughts and images on the internet. Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Lost Christianity (by Jacob Needleman). I stumbled across this book by total accident one night many months ago. I read through several reviews and thought the book might have some real answers to questions I'd been asking a long time without any luck. Took me a while to get to it, but finally I started. The book has value, but it was a very frustrating read at the same time. Left me unsettled and somewhat unsatisfied.
