Saturday, July 28, 2012. Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. Until my visit again to Sg with my daughter last April this year and we set foot again around Chinatown. This time I was able to take a photo of the marker of the place. See. . :) ). So now I know. This maroon red temple is the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. I'm always fascinated with the details of a temple's gate, or of our churches' doors. There would always be interesting characters. I'm not a religious person but a very prayerful one. I breath with...

Ascertain Bliss: August 2012
http://ifoundparadise.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Can't still have a good grasp of it # the mighty sun has been playing so elusive since the first of August, had given Manila daily burst of massive rain, not less than 3 typhoons, torrential/monsoon serious flood. Yesterday 'till today the sun has been up and shining! Are you kidding me? Sometime in June, we had our short visit of my hometown and before exiting, we decided to eat our lunch at one of the countless waterfalls/river resorts a little bit away from the town. It wasn'...

Ascertain Bliss: January 2013
http://ifoundparadise.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 15, 2013. I entered the familiar gate of my youth and walked the same corridors my black school shoe used to walk on a daily basis decades ago. I saw nuns and uniformed girls who mobbed me with flashed back memories. I reached my destination. The registrar. I just had to get some school documents that would support my present venture. Done in a minute. It used to be an exclusive for girls school during my time. Today, it's now an open gender school and already a university. Well now, bla...

Friday, March 9, 2012. If we have "Philippine Eagle", Indonesia has "Garuda". They both seem to be super birds except that ours is real and the latter is a mythical bird. Garuda is a national symbol of Indonesia and thus replicas of it are all over the country. Now I know where the name of their flag carrier Garuda Airlines had gotten its name. It was a huge statue and therefore couldn't be easily ignored. I found this one in the garden right in the vicinity of Bandar Bentan Telani. The departure area go...

Sunday, May 27, 2012. More of Little India. I thought a glimpse of Little India. Would spice daughter's first taste of Singapore, also we needed to buy her lil' sis a gadget which a friend suggested to buy somewhere here cos its cheaper. I also thought my previous visit of this ethnic neighborhood was still fresh ( here. So I went out of my comfort zone ( of always accompanied by my Sg expat/host best friend ) to commute alone with my daughter. Shining.shimmering. flabby arms :) ). Daughter found this pi...

Ascertain Bliss: April 2012
http://ifoundparadise.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 29, 2012. The randomness of our recent weekend trip, packed only with the barest essentials, made us bought 3 for P100 (less than P35 each) rubber slippers from the wet market of the town we landed. Right away we doubted their strength. haha. Shame on branded trekker pairs! Cos those cheap pairs stood by us sans a single tear all throughout the edgy trail we took to reach. . The summit of Pinagbanderahan Peak. On the way to Pinagbanderahan Peak. Aww, my ligaments are pure sore right now :(.
