Frugal Girl in the City: Hello, World!
http://frugalgirlinthecity.blogspot.com/2009/09/hello-world.html
Frugal Girl in the City. Just trying to find a balance between finance and fun. Tuesday, September 1, 2009. I am finally joining the online personal finance world! Thank you for stopping by my little nook in cyberspace. I graduated from an engineering degree a little over a year ago, and have been working as a consultant ever since. Please feel free to join me on my journey to financial freedom as I juggle through my budgets, thoughts, purchases, rants and perhaps, even some experiments! Paris, Je taime.
Frugal Girl in the City: My ING TFSA has Successfully Transferred to TD
http://frugalgirlinthecity.blogspot.com/2009/09/my-ing-tfsa-has-successfully.html
Frugal Girl in the City. Just trying to find a balance between finance and fun. Tuesday, September 29, 2009. My ING TFSA has Successfully Transferred to TD. I'm really excited about the TFSA the Canadian government has introduced. What a great incentive for people to save or invest their money tax free! Even though I could invest in a TFSA Streetwise Mutual Fund with ING, I know that the 1% management fee is a little excessive for an index fund, when I can buy it for less from a TD Waterhouse account.

Frugal Girl in the City. Just trying to find a balance between finance and fun. Sunday, September 13, 2009. Paris, Je t'aime. This summer, BF and I took a vacation to explore the wonders of Oslo, Paris and the little town off Omaha Beach in Normandy. We spent two weeks, alternating between sight seeing, basking in the sun, and just soaking in the European culture (aka drinking coffee's and people watching). Here is a rough breakdown of our spending for the two weeks:. Sight Seeing: $192.70. A lot of the ...
Frugal Girl in the City: Minimizing my Toilietries
http://frugalgirlinthecity.blogspot.com/2009/09/minimizing-my-toilietries.html
Frugal Girl in the City. Just trying to find a balance between finance and fun. Tuesday, September 8, 2009. I'm on a mission to try to minimalize my lifestyle. It's not that I have a huge amount of stuff, it's just that I think I make can do with a lot less. And with less stuff, there is less to replenish. Through this, I hope to lead a happier and simpler lifestyle. Here are the major items in my washroom, and my goals in the near future. Baby shampoo and olive oil for conditioning. As a side note, I re...
Frugal Girl in the City: Rich Bride Poor Bride
http://frugalgirlinthecity.blogspot.com/2009/09/rich-bride-poor-bride.html
Frugal Girl in the City. Just trying to find a balance between finance and fun. Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Rich Bride Poor Bride. This is my first time watching this show on TLC, and I was not impressed with this couple. The bride was way to bitchy and whiny. The groom should have run away if he knew what was good for him. Now, onto the finances. Actual spent (bride and groom): $42,000. Over Budget (bride and groom) : $7,000. Flowers and Dress (parents' gifts): $8000. Total Wedding Cost: $50,000.

Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Please Punch Me in the Face if I'm Annoying. I want my guy to punch me in the face if I'm annoying. Figuratively speaking, of course. I was reading this post. From Loayza from Become a Young Successful Entrepreneur. This is a post where he talks about how he determined his girlfriend was the one. When Almond and I were dating, we hardly every fought (for almost 5 years! I did know part of the reason behind this behavior. Almond's parents fought a lot. Almond said th...For m...
