The epidemiology course we are designing is coming along nicely. We have two beta test students that are taking the course this summer as we continue to develop it. Food Safety / Biosecurity Fellowship. Thursday, June 7, 2007. I am now in my fifth week of this internship. Next week we will be visiting a swine farm to make a video on biosecurity. This film will demonstrate common procedures practiced by biosecure facilities to ensure herd saftey and minimize the spread of infectious disease. Food Safety / Biosecurity Fellowship. Monday, June 18, 2007. We visited a swine farm last week to collect information about how the facility maintains proper biosecurity. We took several pictures and interviewed the producers about the different methods used to ensure a healthy herd. The final video will be posted on ANGEL under the disease control and food safety course. I am currently working on finalizing this project so it will be ready for students to use next year when they enroll in this class.
