A Balaton földrajza és élővilága. A Balaton Közép-Európa legnagyobb tava a maga 596 km2-ével. A 77 km hosszú és 1,5-14 km széles tó. Fontosabb halai: harcsa, garda, kárász, süllő, ponty, ragadozó őn, naphal, busa. Jellegzetes madarai: nádirigó, cserregő nádiposzáta, nádi tücsökmadár, tőkés réce, bütykös hattyú, szárcsa, lúdfélék, sirályok, csérek.
