剛剛看到這篇文章的草稿，不知不覺按進去，竟然就改掉了原本這篇文章寫的時間，現在也想不起來到底哪天我的basil發芽了. 應該是四月的某時吧! 在program的逼迫之下搬到了cape，卻意外地為這grad school的第五年帶來新的活力。找到了一個好房子，可以騎車或走路去上學。房子外有一大片草原和很多棵大樹，每天有許多鳥飛來飛去，春天來了以後，百花齊放，樹梢上的新芽比畫裡的要鮮綠上好幾倍。省下了來回於Cambridge和Woods Hole的時間，工作和睡覺的時間多了些，還多了閒情逸致，開始看鳥和種菜。說到這個，昨天發現上上周末種的basil發芽啦拉拉拉這大概是我除了從小時候種綠豆發芽以後，唯一一次有種種子發芽過，嘿嘿! 跟自然親近的幸福是很難形容的。每天都有不同的驚喜。今天是在池塘邊樹上看到想看很久的kingfisher，明天經過郵局時頭頂上抓了魚的魚鷹飛過，後天騎車時又看到海豹在岸邊載浮載沉.。 Back to the seaside. Start of the summer. 夏天來得很快，一轉眼河邊的樹都綠了，出門開始只有褲子的兩個口袋可以裝東西，沒有外套手套毛帽的累綴。還有微風輕輕吹來的夏天，手插在口袋裡走路就是一種幸福。今年夏天以一趟raod trip為起始，從ME繞到Quebec city再繞回Woods Hole，回來以後，工作緊接著跟上，committee meeting裡面是schedule, schedule, schedule，馬上隔幾天，又往Bermuda dolphin quest出發。遇上難得的傾盆大雨，還有雨都下光了之後白艷艷曬死人不償命的超級大太陽。現在又坐在沒有窗戶的office裡，重灌電腦，hoping for a more stable computer and a very productive summer. 訂閱：文章 (Atom). Spoiled in Woods Hole. 今天早上，一如往常騎車上學，岸邊起了大霧，上學路的前半段籠罩在濛濛的水氣裡。霧很大，能見度大概只有十公尺，十公尺之外的人和車都只剩下影子。岸邊的池塘也在霧裡，看不到鳥，只聽得到聲音。我想，住在現在住的地方遲早會被寵壞。離海岸走路只要五分鐘，每天可以騎car-free的bike path十五分鐘就到WHOI。下午收工以後，在長長的夏天傍晚，可以悠閒地騎車回家，煮點東西吃，吃飽了，再騎到bike path另一段的沼澤區去看鳥、看夕陽。看完了，再趕在夜晚全面來臨時回到家。洗洗碗，看看電影，唸唸書。 It's a bless to live like this. :). 今天去上第一次的PE攀岩課，三個多小時都在everett的室內岩場度過，中間竟然是不停去爬新的牆，雖然當然是很遜地所有顏色的抓點都有使用 XD. 一、有做重訓果然比較不肉雞。跟當年在台大某次去爬岩，一直爬不上去，回來手還不能敲鍵盤比起來，今天順利到頂幾次，還有餘力可以玩一下bouldering，實在是進步多了。二、爬岩似乎是舒壓好運動。從開始爬到結束，因為別人爬時專心belay，自己爬時專心找點和平衡，那種心無旁騖的專注，很久很久沒有過了。等到時間到要集合時，忽然發現又要回到日常生活像爛攤子一樣的壓力循環之中，才發現這快速度過、專注在某件事物上的三個小時是如此珍貴。回到MIT時，餓極了，走到student center買一個subway sandwich，到office狼吞虎嚥吃完。爛攤子還是要繼續經營。好多好多該做未做的事情，就先希望今天睡一個好覺，明天一切順利。希望明天不下雨，精神好，肚子不痛，工作效率高。訂閱：文章 (Atom). Sail out to sea and do new things. 五月去朱成人班上課時，因為策展的氣憤難平，跟林老師說: 我要發洩! 老師就教我打一首簡單曲子的伴奏，很紓解。原本以為自己是手腳不協調的人也意外發現: 還蠻快上手的。跟著之前買的書練了幾個節奏，又被暑假的出海中斷了。同時間迷上了五月天，看到冠佑打鼓，這也是一直打下去的一個動力之一，因為他是【搖滾鼓王界】的公務員，可以優雅的打鼓，完全符合我的TONE。 12月底看了WM老師的一場表演，又聽到他在練一段拉丁節奏，算是對他服了，真的很厲害的鼓手，音樂性很棒，把鼓打得很好聽，但不暴力。莫名其妙的，打鼓變成我紓壓的重要方式，也是少數能專心一致的時刻。意外發現: 沒睡覺，感冒時千萬都不能練鼓，注意力不夠集中，沒用。很棒的drumming 網站: http:/ www.drumlessons.com/drum-lessons/beginner-drum-lessons/. Sail out to sea and do new things. 明明就很怕人擠人的，一向逃避人多的活動，今年已經去了兩項上萬人的活動。第一個就是五月天的JUST ROCK IT 1314，另外就是今天的渣打銀行路跑。大概從富邦的台北馬拉松開始很想試試看跑路跑，但是從沒跟上那些秒殺的報名! 去年底開始跑跑步機後，正巧又看到渣打馬拉松的廣告，就不小心參加了36000人的盛會，我報名的是半小時內要完成的三公里 (當時看到限額3000人，還以為規模不會太誇張)。早上才注意到大會有提供接駁車，匆匆趕上捷運到圓山站，已經很多人了。排隊上了公車轉達大佳河濱公園八號水門入口，一片混亂中找到3K的衣物保管處時，已經在倒數計時要鳴槍了! 真的，很刺激，熱身就在從帳篷跑到起點中完成了，還好跑的人很多 (遠遠超過三千人吧! 訂閱：張貼留言 (Atom).
