http://addictedtomaking.blogspot.com/2015/05/forget-me-knots-starting-again.html
Friday, 1 May 2015. Forget-me-knots and starting again. My Dad gave me the Forget-me-knots growing in our garden and. I've been waiting for them to reappear. He loved flowers and spent as much time as he could in his garden and was more than happy to share cuttings and seedlings. Such a totally gorgeous blue colour, some with white or some with yellow centres. Love the way they can also have little light pink or mauve colour flowers. It's been a fair while since I last wrote but to be honest, t. I am a l...

Thursday, 9 January 2014. New Year, floods and drowning in beads! Happy New Year to You :-). I hope you had a lovely Christmas and got lots of new crafting goodies to play with? What a start to the new year we've had with all that rain - the ground around here has just about had it and if there is much more I am seriously considering if my woodwork skills are up to making an Ark! We started to feel a little stir crazy over the holidays so got out and about taking some snaps. Some are random mix ups like ...

Addicted to Making: Macrame, DIY belts & 1970s retro styling...
http://addictedtomaking.blogspot.com/2015/05/macrame-diy-belts-1970s-retro-styling.html
Thursday, 14 May 2015. Macrame, DIY belts and 1970s retro styling. Hands off my hatch! Being a bit of a collector (aka hoarder. According to the family) I am also looking forward to mixing the decor plans with being able to display some of my finds. I also want to give the occasional nod to it's humble summer of '76 beginnings (without overdoing it) so it's great that all things 70's are back on trend because it means there is lots of inspiration in the shops! The knotting easier to follow this time!

Saturday, 9 August 2014. Balance, weaving and bringing in the harvest. There's been a lot of writing tasks to do lately and not so much time for crafting, which I guess just happens every now and then. Usually the balance is restored by taking a quick trip out somewhere to gather inspiration or by just having a little rummage through my craft stash and trying something new. I think I'm yearning for a holiday. or at least a trip to the seaside! Uckily we had a huge roll of brown wrapping paper to hand so ...

Monday, 8 September 2014. Cherries, earrings and crochet. Occasionally in life other things take over the things that you had planned to be doing and that is just the way it is here right now. Always think of crafting as a great form of therapy or a good distraction technique so today, although there is not much in the way of blog musings, there is a little tutorial I've put together for a pair of mixed media earrings. cherry earrings because when things get tough you have to go find your own! Bend the t...

Friday, 31 October 2014. Witches, Wire and Wands. I'm still stuck in my temporary crafting space with everything squashed in around me and not much room to create but I couldn't miss doing something for Halloween! I've done several pumpkin projects in the past so wanted something different. I cast my eye about for an idea. Then I saw this stick while we were on the dog walk. As soon as I saw it I imagined it would make a great Witches Wand for Halloween! After that I just got hold of lots of beads, charm...

Saturday, 8 November 2014. The Tower, Poppies and WWI Remembrance. A couple of weeks ago I went to visit the poppies at the Tower of London - it was both stunning and humbling to think that each one represented a life given in WWI (and that was before the installation was even completed! I am so glad I bought one ages ago as they are sold out now and I'm very much looking forward to having it in my new creative space when it's finished. So you can guess what we spent the next few evenings doing. I still ...

Addicted to Making: December 2013

Saturday, 21 December 2013. Winter Solstice, Mistletoe and the Kissing Hat. As if you couldn't tell, today is the shortest day and longest night of the year. It's quite a dusky, magical, eerie sort of day and one I've decided to spend quietly after almost over-doing-it Christmas shopping yesterday (well, I say quietly, which usually translates into making something. Which is also another iconic symbol of Christmas. And which they therefore associated with the sun. Of course the Druids were great sun ...
