Garden Girl: June 2013
http://gardengirl-lintys.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Welcome to Bunnies Salad Bar and Grill. Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Crazy weather seems to be the norm in the Chicago area this spring, and now summer. A derecho blew through our area suddenly last night, but didn't seem to cause much damage in our garden. The minor hail damage on the foliage in this post is from another recent storm. In spite of our crazy weather so far this season though, wildflowers are thriving in our garden. I may have made peace with Ruellia. Purple milkweed ,. Has been here a few ye...

Welcome to Bunnies Salad Bar and Grill. Thursday, August 15, 2013. New here this year, complements of Walters Gardens. This is 'Midnight Raider', a semi-evergreen tetraploid daylily. They have made a beautiful addition to an area where there's lots of morning sun. 'Midnight Raider' is a reblooming daylily. It may not rebloom its first year, but I'll be hoping, and watching for more of these beauties later this summer or in early fall. Fujibotan.' all summer, and so do the hummingbirds. Welcome to Bunnies Salad Bar and Grill. Tuesday, August 14, 2012. It's high summer here, and in the Chicago area we've been getting some welcome, and much needed relief from this year's record heat and drought. The garden is grateful, and so am I. Blue Hill' has been oblivious to the weather, maintained its clean foliage as usual, and as long as it's deadheaded regularly, it keeps blooming all season. Matrona' , a seedling baptisia, and young native grasses grown with seeds from Monica. Double impatiens ...

Welcome to Bunnies Salad Bar and Grill. Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Yep - we're more than just a bit late for Wildflower Wednesday. We do have a few wild things blooming though. Just check out these colorful blooms above! Ed and Zelda have been hanging out here a lot lately. They're so much fun to watch. April's record rainfall, and a full swale have brought them back frequently. They seem to have settled in and made themselves at home. Spring beauties ( Claytonia virginica,. Tiny bunnies, eyes not even open...

I Dig Gardening...: March 2010
http://judy-idiggardening.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 19, 2010. What Color is Your Garden? As I entered the Gardener’s "Show House". At the Des Moines Botanical Center,. A question posted on the wall caught my eye. Colors in our gardens supposedly "say" something about us. Do you tend to favor. ORANGE in your garden? Perhaps you are fond of YELLOW,. Or, how about GREEN. I'm especially fond of. As in these impatiens. The crisp, coolness of WHITE. Or the eye-catching color of RED? And finally, the soothing color of PURPLE. A Work in Progress.

Simple Life in Norway: Choosing to live more simple
http://simplelifeinnorway.blogspot.com/2012/12/choosing-to-live-more-simple.html
Friday, December 28, 2012. Choosing to live more simple. It was expencive to heat up the house, since there where no fireplace. The heat just went up stairs, and I did not wanted to use the upstairs at all. It definately was a nice charming home, a little chabby chic, and rigth there by the sea and the old traditional bakery from early 1900 (no function there today). Now that we dont have anymore room to store our mess, you would think that we dont have any, rigth? December 28, 2012 at 7:26 PM. I wil def...

http://simplelifeinnorway.blogspot.com/2012/12/still-merry-christmas-to-you.html
Thursday, December 27, 2012. Still a Merry Christmas to you! I want to use this opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas. We celebrated on the 24th on the evening, with our traditional dinner lamb ribs, rutabaga mash, and ricecream for dessert. Oh, and we had a cup of coffe and baileys at the heat of the nigth. All in all it was a great evening, but I am so glad it is all over for now, because Christmas tends to bring so much stress. The next stress now is New Years Eve. Subscribe to my mailing list.

Sunday, February 3, 2013. Menuplan week#6, 2013, with recipe. It`s been a while since I posted last time, and my blog wil definately not be the most updated one. It just has to be that way when you have two boys, one of them with special needs, one husband with his own firm, and so many redecorationideas, homeschooling ideas and selfsufficient ideas in your head at the same time. But this week I got around and planned a menu. Sooo. Lentil and tomatosoup with roasted chickpeas (se recipe down under).
