Blogg um matjurtaræktun í Smálöndum og í Kleppsholtinu í Reykjavík. Sunday, August 21, 2011. Ég fór á fróðlegan fyrirlestur um ræktun eplatrjáa. Leif Blomqvist heitir fyrirlesarinn og rekur hann gróðrastöð norðarlega í Finnlandi og hefur sérhæft sig í eplatrjám, öðrum ávaxtatrjám og berjum. Eplatrén þurfa mjög góðan stað í garðinum. Bestu staðina þurfa perur og plómur og svo eplin. Best er að klippa trén í ágúst samkvæmt Leif. Þá koma ekki eins mikið af nýjum sprotum árið eftir. Af öðru. Sólberjaupps...

Blogg um matjurtaræktun í Smálöndum og í Kleppsholtinu í Reykjavík. Sunday, February 24, 2013. Mér finnst veturinn varla hafa látið sjá sig þetta árið. Allavega ekki enn sem komið er og þetta gerir það að verkum að vorverkin eru hafin hjá mér. Vetrargosarnir eru komnir upp, alltaf jafn fallegir. Blogg um matjurtaræktun í Smálöndum og í Kleppsholtinu í Reykjavík. Monday, July 30, 2012. Sumarið hefur verið mjög þurrt og mikið hefur þurft að vökva. Mér finnst sprettan ekki eins góð og í fyrra þótt þá hafi vorið verið ansi kalt. Grænmetisgarðurinn í stofunni. Þarna eru tómatar, gúrka, chili, paprika. Þessi voru fljót að klárast. Blogg um matjurtaræktun í Smálöndum og í Kleppsholtinu í Reykjavík. Friday, August 17, 2012. Eftir rigninguna síðustu daga hefur gróðurinn aldeilis tekið við sér. Garðarshólmi er í miklum blóma og uppskeran er sérdeilis góð. Hér sést uppskeran í dag. Þarna eru rauðrófur, gulrætur, kartöflur, hvítlaukur, salat , fennel og krydd. Loksins eru sólblómin útsprungin. Þarna sést yfir Garðarshólma. Baunir eru í forgrunni. Dill og nóg af því. Fennelið er glæsilegt grænmeti. Baunirnar eru farnar að þroskast. Nú er...
