We thought she'd take after her daddy; he loves cereal. He'd literally live off cereal if he could. Sometimes he even thinks cereal is its own food group. One of my earliest memories of childhood was of my little brother and this really adorable nautical/sailor outfit my mom found for him. So I was thrilled to find when my niece was born that they had little girl nautical dresses too! So to keep traditions alive with the nautical theme, we bought Aubrey her first sailor dress. A little off topic here, I hear our US Sailors no longer wear these handsome uniforms anymore!

Fred turned one on Saturday, so to celebrate we went down to Galveston and spent some time at the beach. It was still quite hot and the water was warmer than bath water and did not provide much relief. Fred crawled around chasing birds. He has been walking around for a few weeks and had his first steps about two months ago, but he still has more speed with his crawl.

Dad's Savory Sausage Stuffing. 1 loaf french bread. 1 pound ground sausage. 1 medium yellow onion, chopped. 2-3 celery ribs, chopped. 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms. 1 cup grated carrots. 1/2 cup chicken broth.
