Owned and run by volunteers for the benefit of the community. In 2010 the last of our four village shops was about to be converted into a flat and so deprive the village of a valuable amenity. It is thanks to a determined effort by villagers and the support of the local community, businesses and others that we were able to purchase and refurbish the shop for the continued benefit of the village. Welcome to Gawsworth Gardening Club. Gawsworth Gardening Club was formed in 2004. Joan Middleton was our first chairman until her sad death in 2008 since when Peter Robinson has held the post. We are a small friendly group who meet nine months of the year on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm in St James's Church meeting room, Gawsworth.
