It was a pretty good race. 400 m swim in the South Davis Rec Center. S pool, 12 mile bike ride. Around Bountiful including the legacy parkway trail and a 3.3 mi run. Utah State Road Biker. Sunday, January 15, 2012. Bear Lake Monster Century 7-9-11. Third week in a row that I'm writing, yay for me! If you follow my blog and saw my race calendar from last year. And the subsequent changes. After a while, I just thought, "Ya know what? Screw the triathlon, I'm doing the century ride." So I signed up for the inaugural Bear Lake Monster Century Ride. Utah State Road Biker. Sunday, May 29, 2011. Provo City Half Marathon 5-7-11. Then took a week or two off to let my legs recover from overworking them in January. I decided to bump down to the half marathon hoping that I could knock out a 1:45:00 smashing my best time of 1:53:18 by over eight minutes. Then I hired a coach. Lora. Utah State Road Biker. Sunday, January 8, 2012. Utah Summer Games Tri June18th 2011. Slipped on my bike shoes and my helmet, stuffed my gear into the race-provided garbage bag, and headed out for the bike. Swim time: 14:08 T1 time: 1:48. And ran into transition. I slipped into my racer and headed around the track to the north end of the football field to start the 5K run. Bike time: 36:19 (24.8 mph average by the way, thank YOU downhill!
