Szpunar, McDermott and Roediger, (2008) found that generally speaking having a test improves retention through two means the first being the process of recall, which aids long term retention as well as the study sessions beforehand. Just another WordPress.com site. March 14, 2011. I did my talk last week on the use of precision teaching with children with learning difficulties. Behaviour must be directly observable. Frequency is the most useful/ effective measure of performance. Data is recorded on the standard celeration chart. There is a lot of research to suggest that precision teaching is very effective in teaching those with learning difficulties (as well as those without). Came up with relevant strategies to remember things.

Which discussed the program ‘Troops to Teachers’. I had never heard of this program previously and decided to research into it a bit more. Troops to Teachers (TTT). It’s easy to see the logic and appeal behind this program, with 57% of American public schools reporting moderate-severe discipline problems in their schools ( NCES, 1996-1997.
