Our Genealogy Mission

Sunday, February 19, 2012. The days seem to be flying by. Still no word on a new home for the Center. We have been overflowing with patrons - often every computer filled. That’s wonderful, but crowded and sometimes noisy. We are keeping the classroom busy as well. We will so appreciate the new, bigger building when it comes. Marlowe and Alice Anderson. Sunday, January 29, 2012. Check out the rich, hearty soup on the Recipes tab. Nearly a month since I wrote last! Hey there, Grandpa! We had a group of you...

Our Genealogy Mission: July 2011

http://www.genealogymission.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

Sunday, July 17, 2011. Sunday, 17 July Mission Letter. Back in my own bed, healing nicely, back to work, feeling great! That’s my week in a nutshell. I went to the doctor for follow-up on surgery and he told me what a great job he did, and I believed him, so we’re back on track. The wound is still ugly, but that’s just how it is. I knew getting rid of that bad parathyroid would make me feel better, but Wow! Marlowe and Alice Anderson. Saturday, July 2, 2011. Saturday, 2 July Mission Letter. A trip to Cal...

Our Genealogy Mission: January 2011

http://www.genealogymission.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, January 30, 2011. Sunday, January 30 Mission Letter. January’s almost over and seems like just last week it was New Year’s Day! We expected, prepared for, and hoped for about 200 to 300 people, but somewhere around 1,100 people showed up. Since it lasted all day, we expected people to come and go, but they came early and stayed for the duration, even when we extended it an additional hour, by popular demand. It shows God is no respecter of persons. A state governor as primary president? The weath...

http://www.genealogymission.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Sunday, October 16, 2011. Check out the recipe tab for an easy and yummy copycat soup recipe. Great for cold winter days, or any day for that matter. Well, we’re still not working at the Center. Still no word on when. So we remain positive and keep preparing as if it will open tomorrow. Maybe the letter will come tomorrow. Oh, it was me. I thought it would be a great opportunity to learn it. Well, the more I study it, the less I like it. It never hurts to learn something new, right? I had a birthday this...

Sunday, August 28, 2011. Sunday 28 August 2011. Check out the Recipes tab. We hadn’t been back home but an hour or so when we got a call from Carmen, Marlowe’s sister, that their cousin, Lowell Bagley, had passed away. His funeral was yesterday in Orem. We drove up yesterday morning, stayed for the funeral and interment, and drove home. Long day! Marlowe and Alice Anderson. Saturday, August 13, 2011. Sunday, 14 August Mission Letter. http://www.genealogymission.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Sunday, May 29, 2011. Sunday, 29 May 2011. Things are beginning to slow down a bit around here as the Snowbirds are leaving town. The Center isn’t as busy and classes are not full like they were through the winter. That’s OK with us - we need a breather. We have two new baby hummingbirds poking their heads out of the nest. The little mother is flitting around all day feeding and protecting her babies. Https:/ www.sugarsync.com/referral? Happy Bride’s Family. Marlowe and Alice Anderson. Berkeley’s w...

Links to our Family. View my complete profile. Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Last week we went to Utah to help Jared celebrate receiving his PhD from BYU. We had a great time and are so happy for Jared and this amazing milestone in his life! Provo/BYU is still very green and pretty. We had a couple of warm afternoons, nothing major, but it was mostly cool and refreshing with some rain storms to liven things up. The graduates are filing in! Ah, much better photo. Congratulations Jared! Here are the two lawyer...

This past week Scott and I had the opportunity to stay with Camden while Dan and Nicole went on their Stake's Trek. We had a blast. Camden was so fun! Here are a few photos so that Dan and Nicole can see what their little boy was up to while they were gone. On Monday we went to the park by their house. His favorite thing was that rope jungle gym thing. He could spot a bug from anywhere! He had to go see each one.

We had a fun Memorial Day playing croquet with the neighborhood kids and going to a BBQ hosted by a family in our ward. Scott was so great to set up this croquet game for the kids. They had a blast. Links to our Family. View my complete profile. Sunday, September 29, 2013. I spent this past week in Utah visiting with family and friends. It was so fun and the weather was SUPER! By "super" I mean cool and rainy, which is not most people's definition so I thought I would clarify.) I flew up on Monday and spent the afternoon with my roomies, Pam and Ellen, two forever friends that I love so much! There are flower gardens all over the grounds and they are gorgeous! Scott and I took a trip up to Utah to visit before Christmas and to celebrate Scott's birthday. It was a really fun trip, but definitely not long enough! Hard at work decorating the tree. Okay, it's no...

Links to our Family. View my complete profile. Saturday, September 13, 2014. We've already had a busy month so I thought I would do an update now so it won't all pile up on me later! First of all, when I transferred my photos onto my laptop, I found FIFTEEN pics of Agnes that she must have taken all by herself, I think those are called "selfies" or something like that, ha! I guess I better put a pass code on my phone! Not sure what is happening here. This week Donna and Callie came for a visit! Since the...
