Separation of Church and State | Genomic Equivalence

What is Genomic Equivalence? Separation of Church and State. Read Freedom of Religion, Just Not Here. For some additional thoughts on this subject. Some have taken a fight against legal acknowledgement of homosexual unions as a means to push their religious beliefs. But Adventists should not seek to push our religion in the government. Some time ago reading arguments regarding Prop 8. Laws Free of Religion. I found a very interesting response to one article regarding homosexual marriage and church backed...
Reacting to Death | Genomic Equivalence

What is Genomic Equivalence? A comment in regard to the recent killings in Colorado has got me thinking. The person suggested, with the outcry against guns that perhaps we should ban cars too since they kill so many people (obviously a gun rights advocate). But why do we react so differently to a violent shooting than to a massive traffic accident? Traffic accidents are frequently the result of neglect. Someone is driving too fast, not paying attention to the road, driving when they can hardly stay a...

What is Genomic Equivalence? But Christianity does not always provide easy comfort. I just finished reading Death in the Family. This, I believe, is why when Revelation 21. A Knock at the Door | World Changers

For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. – Acts 4:20. A Knock at the Door. August 15, 2009. Posted by Ames in Virginia. This afternoon I heard a knock at the door of my townhouse. My mom answered the door to find two young men standing there. I came up behind her, and they introduced themselves as my new neighbors. I asked them to come in, and so they came in and we sat and talked for a little while. No comments yet — be the first. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Give Me Princeto...

For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. – Acts 4:20. April 16, 2009. Posted by Ames in Virginia. To my surprise, despite my research experience and willingness, I was having trouble finding a position with a professor for the summer. To make matters worse, when presented with the options for employment after law school, nothing seemed appealing. So I began to pray. Lord, where do you want me to go when I am done with school? What do you want me to do? While planning on doing rese...

Speak Lord, Speak. September 15, 2008. Getting the Hang of it- Week One. August 25, 2008. Today was our first official day of class. The class was extremely long! I am not used to sitting down on hard seats for three hours or more! I would like to invest in getting new chairs for CAMPUS classes; however, I am afraid that had the chairs been comfortable, we would all probably fall asleep. Just imagine if each of them was a missionary for God, then we could truly say, Come, Lord Jesus! August 26, 2008.

For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. – Acts 4:20. April 17, 2010. Posted by hemoves in Uncategorized. Just came from Bible study and I have to say today has been one of the best Sabbaths since the year began. Went back home and confirmed the evening study then, instead of going over the notes for the study, I spent nearly an hour on my knees seeking the Spirit of God to go before me and to prepare the hearts of each listener. Give Me Princeton Or I Die. A Knock at the Door.

Speak Lord, Speak. November 6, 2008. Living in Historic Times. Today is November 5, 2008 and Barack Obama has been announced the next president of the United States. I am living in historic times and it thrills me so much. But the thrill doesn’t come from the newly elect colored president, but rather that Jesus is coming in my generation (at least I like to think this way). Obama’s campaign slogan has been the change we need . What changes do I need to make in my life for Jesus to come? That’s what the r...

Genomic Equivalence | I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts
What is Genomic Equivalence? In the story of the good Samaritan we find a lawyer who is asking a question he knows the answer to. Jesus draws out the answer, to have eternal life we are told in the law to “love the Lord” with our entire being, and to “love your neighbor as yourself.”. I think because the lawyer knew how deep this responsibility is we find him trying to justify himself. Trying to limit who his neighbor is by asking “who is my neighbor? 8221; That is, who made himself a neighbor to him?
