Race Report: Slacker Half Marathon. June 28, 2015. Yesterday, I ran the Slacker Half Marathon. It begins at Loveland Ski area, and ends at Georgetown, Colorado. This race is billed as “All Downhill! 8221;, so lots of runners race it as their first Half Marathon (me, in 2006! Or they try for a PR. But, that All Downhill! Designation can also be the downfall of some runners who depend on the elevation drop! More on that later! As with many races, you meet up with lots of friends in the port-a-potty lines!

Friday, October 9, 2015. The ratio has officially flipped. These last few batches of handspun contain a higher percentage of naturally dyed than synthetics. Something like 70/30 or even 80/20. Its been a goal of mine for while now and this summer, in between some heavy thinking about where I was taking this whole fiber art thing, I built up my stash of natural dyes and fibers.
