Friday, July 11, 2014. A Couple of Finishes. I can’t believe it’s been so long since my last blog post. I have a couple of finishes to share this week. I finished my Schnitzel And Boo. Mini Quilt last week, but decided to hold off blogging about it until I finished my quilt for the Modern Quilt Guild. I measured it befo...

Georgia Girl Quilts: Positively Relative
http://www.georgiagirlquilts.blogspot.com/2013/09/positively-relative.html
Friday, September 20, 2013. I finished the plus sign quilt this week. It's named itself "Positively Relative", which works for a couple of reasons. It's for my Aunt, one of my all-time favorite people. Everything is relative.I'm a firm believer that you cannot truly appreciate the positive without having experienced at least a bit of the negative.hence, the negative sign on the bottom row of the quilt! By Ashley @ Film in the Fridge. I mean, it's gorgeous, right? By Debbie @ Esch House Quilts. CJ, don't ...

I love the vintage vibe this fabric has and the colors are absolutely in my wheel house. Dashwo...

Starry Night Quilt
http://betteroffthread.com/2015/04/28/starry-night-quilt
Starry Night Quilt pattern by Janice Ryan, featuring Shimmer II by Jennifer Sampou. April 28, 2015. I was recently asked to design a quilt for Jennifer Sampou’s upcoming Shimmer II fabric line. I loved her original Shimmer fabrics, and the new colors are even more beautiful. The metallic print fabrics have a wonderful balance between traditional and modern tastes, so I wanted to design a more traditional block-based quilt with a modern flair. In Love With Patchwork - Ellison Lane
http://ellisonlane.com/2015/06/in-love-with-patchwork.html
Modern Sewing and Design. In Love With Patchwork. June 6, 2015. Small squares call my name. Simple patchwork pulls at my heart strings. For a long time I’ve wanted to make a simple patchwork quilt. Simple squares, pretty colors. I started by pulling my favorite colors- mostly solids with a few prints. I wanted saturation, warmth, joyful hues. Then I started cutting squares. I think I ended up using 700. I started the rows at Sew South and finally finished them up last week after we got home from the beach.

My Gardening Journey
Monday, January 19, 2015. The move we recently made to Tulsa has somewhat stalled my winter hydroponic plans. During the summer I dreamed of having delicious tomatoes all winter long. I worked really hard to get my solutions right in preparation for my winter tomatoes. The result: no winter tomatoes! My hydroponic equipment is still packed away somewhere buried in a mountain of boxes in the garage! I may need to change this blog tab to just "gardening". Wednesday, June 25, 2014. I've picked two tomatoes ...

Friday, August 7, 2015. Movement in Squares : A Friday Finish. Is it just me, or does the sun just up and vanish whenever you finish a quilt? Especially one that you've got to send out into the world immediately? This happens to me. Every. Single. Time. Well, it seems like it anyway. So thanks to a dreary couple of days in East Tennessee, let me apologize in advance for not being able to share some beautiful sunshiny pics. Shortly thereafter, I was cruising the Internet for patterns and fabric. Last week...
