Where Was It? The Old Section

Where and When Was It? There was a gate across Gerritsen Avenue where the Canal is from the days when the Old Section was a private community like Breezy Point. At the Canal, Between Gotham Avenue and Bartlett Place. Right at the head of the canal. The chain is no more. Sometime in the mid to late 60s the building burned to the ground. I don't think at that time it was still a grocery. Fourth site of the library, since 1997. Between Bartlett Place and Cyrus Avenue. Between Cyrus and Seba Avenues.
