Americonoclastic: December 2006

Sunday, December 24, 2006. Posted by Steve-O at 12:21 PM. Sunday, December 17, 2006. Paradise Lost and Last. And so it goes. I finally get to return to the snows. One season over and one season begins. Just by riding an airliner cabin. The shiny whitehaired Asian guy still discusses his whatever to himself. He posts himself by the tennis courts like a lamp-post and holds court with himself. I think it was the acid. His hair is long and flowing and clean. He is not dissheveled. It's ju...They travel in pa...

Americonoclastic: October 2006
http://americonoclast.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 27, 2006. EG just left for Bali today with his girlfriend for two weeks. So, I am living in this oceanfront house alone. We tried to have the family come over but they just couldn't take the time off right now. You do understand what I mean by oceanfront, yeah? One way or another, you make your way to the back of the house. From the back deck (lanai in Hawaiian), you are ten feet from the Pacific. The only things in your way are a couple worn wooden steps and a hot tub. My goal is to some...

Wednesday, May 31, 2006. I've got more nick-names than you and I can only hear out of one ear. Posted by Steve-O at 10:18 PM. Posted by Steve-O at 9:50 PM. Ute City, Continental Divide, United States. I'm the only child of an artist and an engineer. That alone should explain much. I'm an artist, not an engineer. Mom's the artist. I ski, bike, boat, hike, travel, read, write, paint, draw, dream and love. I've illustrated children's books and I am a contributing political cartoonist. In The Dark With A Fork.

Mountain Musings -- Dipping My Toes Into The Blogosphere: Burning Man 2011
http://mountain-musings.blogspot.com/2011/09/burning-man-2011.html
Mountain Musings - Dipping My Toes Into The Blogosphere. Sunday, September 25, 2011. Radical self reliance, radical self expression. Off the charts creativity (some of it at amazing expense). Cooler than I could ever have imagined, no where near as hard as I feared. Feeling of participation due to French Maid Brigade parade. Great weather: cool down, low wind but nice breezes, no rain. Sand is way worse than dust. Nighttime was like an anarchic Disney Parade of Lights (or a Parade of Lights on acid).

Mountain Musings -- Dipping My Toes Into The Blogosphere: Perpetuating the myth?
http://mountain-musings.blogspot.com/2011/11/perpetuating-myth.html
Mountain Musings - Dipping My Toes Into The Blogosphere. Sunday, November 06, 2011. I sent a letter to the editor of the Aspen Daily News today:. In her article published Sunday, 11/6/11, titled A multimillion dollar season. Carolyn Sackariason refers to the Merry Go Round restaurant on Aspen Highlands as "the old grocery store that was hauled up by the late Whip Jones, the former owner of Highlands." In an article titled Aspen Highlands restaurant ready for an extreme makeover. View my complete profile.

Mountain Musings -- Dipping My Toes Into The Blogosphere: Election Night 2012
http://mountain-musings.blogspot.com/2012/11/election-night-2012.html
Mountain Musings - Dipping My Toes Into The Blogosphere. Tuesday, November 06, 2012. Live (kinda) blogging the election:. Here at BellyUp again. A bit of a different vibe. Not quite as anticipatory. More anxiously hopeful. Crowd very proud that Colorado is tending towards Obama. (I did hear a little while ago that Pitkin County went 70% for Obama). So happy to hear that Elizabeth Warren is projected to win in Massachusetts. Ugh, f'ing Ohio. Just get it figured out already. My mantra right now! Loving the...

Thursday, November 30, 2006. Learning to surf - Part 2. Oh, by the way, did I mention that Danny is not a surfer? My old friend Bruce came and stayed with us in Aspen a couple winters ago and brought his friend Robin. Brother that he forgot to tell me about. Haoles? Duh, take one look at him. He hates all Haoles. Posted by Steve-O at 10:17 AM. Wednesday, November 29, 2006. Learning to surf - Part 1. I came to Hawaii for two weeks in the early Eighties. Surfing was a non-subject. Aspen Alleys: The side door, sealed up tight and never used any more.

Saturday, May 24, 2008. The side door, sealed up tight and never used any more. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My goal with 'Aspen Alleys' is to show parts of my town that you wouldn't ordinarily see. I am looking for old Aspen, alley scenes that could well have been the street scene at one time. I'm looking for images that would make a person think, that's Aspen? If you like what you see here, please visit Prints Available. View my complete profile. Family and Friends Blogs.
