Our ciders and apple varieties. Kingston Black (single variety). Bitter sharp flavour with well balanced tannin and acidity. Yarlington Mill (single variety). Bitter sweet variety producing a slightly dry cider with agreeable aroma. Brown Snout (single variety). A 19th Century Hereford variety, bitter sweet, with soft tannins. Our master blender selects the finest apples from our Tom Putt, Bulmers Norman, Dabinett and Chisel Jersey apple trees to produce a cider of exceptional flavour and balance.

Welcome to our first cider and music festival at Gillow Cider Farm. We make traditional farmhouse cider using apples from our own orchards, with no additives. We will have a range of our own ciders, and cider and perry from other local cider makers. A weekend of musicians, bands, dancing and fun, starting on Friday 19th June. Come and join us in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside for the weekend. Friday 19th - Sunday 21st June 2015. Tickets limited to 400. 25 Friday to Sunday, including camping.

The Cider Makers Year. The orchards are dormant. We've had a couple of harsh winters over the last few years up here in Herefordshire. Most of the cider in the barn has finished fermenting, but late harvested apples can ferment very slowly in the cold weather over the winter. How we make our cider. It's really very simple. mother nature does the tricky stuff. Our cider is made in a totally natural way, very different way from mass produced ciders which bear no resemblance to our traditional product. Page for more details.
