The Howth trail winds in a loop around the whole peninsula, starting near the calm waters of the town and rising to rocky cliffs above crashing waves. The house is in the 2nd neighborhood built outside of the walls of the Old City - originally a Moroccan community. They bought the previous iteration of the house in 1996 - in the scrapbook the photos are labeled "no foundation but lots of promise". Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Where we are going. We will be staying in Obidos, Portugal, a medieval walled city in the Silver Coast part of the country. We are renting this townhouse, which is just outside the old walled city - notice the cobblestone streets! We will be here from May 25 to June 8. Relaxing, wandering, and day trips to the many nearby beaches and coastal towns. Obidos is an hour north of Lisbon. On June 8 we fly from Lisbon to Barcelona. Then a side trip to Brugge, Belgium. Where we are going.
