Pitt Stop: Eyes to See
http://pittswork.blogspot.com/2012/12/eyes-to-see.html
Wednesday, December 19, 2012. This is what happens when we take God out of the public school system." Was it in the t-shirt or Facebook post that said, "God, where were you? God: I am not allowed in the public school."? Wow, how disempowering for the church. Does the government actually have that kind of power? Even if we cave to that dilapidated thinking, then we're the only people that lose, not God. God is not directed by our government's laws, motions and rules. The first of three short letters from ...

Pitt Stop: Hearing the ticking of a clock

Thursday, April 19, 2012. Hearing the ticking of a clock. When was the last time you heard a clock ticking? Of course you would have to be in the same room as a ticking clock, but beyond that, the key to hearing the ticking is silence. When was the last time the room was quiet enough for you to pick up on the ticking? When was the last time you. Were quiet enough to listen? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Ice Skating in the City. A few weeks ago, we took advantage of this lovely, mild winter and headed to Chicago for a visit with G-Ma and G-pa Giere and to do a little ice skating. It was a super fun afternoon! The babies were bundled and ready for the walk to the skating rink. So much fun to be in the city! Ellie all laced up and ready to go! Hannah could hardly contain her excitement! Hannah was a pro and LOVED it! Ellie was not too excited.she clung to the rail.thank goodness for the rail! It was tough,...

We recently heard two twin sisters refer to each other as "Twinnie" and at the time thought it was quite cheesy. But apparently that's our style, because the nickname has stuck. Of course we mainly refer to the boys by their name and/or other less-cheesy nicknames, but you know what, I just kind of like it. So, here are recents of the twinnies. :) Aren't they looking so handsome at 18 months old? We know, with out a doubt, that his love language. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Being a big-time 3rd grader this year, Hannah was able to participate in her school's talent show for the first time and let me tell you, she was thrilled! As soon as the paperwork came home about try-outs, she was in.but, what talent should she showcase? Her mind was made up quickly (and on her own, I might add), a Hula Hoop Routine it would be! So, we began practicing, finding just the right song to do her routine to and perfecting her routine. Try-outs came and went and she was in!

Pitt Stop: Seasons
http://pittswork.blogspot.com/2012/08/seasons.html
Saturday, August 18, 2012. Summer is coming to a close, whether you or I like it or not. I think it's been an amazing summer and I know I've spent far more time outside this year than last year, which I am incredibly grateful for. I can feel Fall approaching, not only in my knees (tendinitis), but also in my soul. Change, I feel change coming. I'm anxious for change because I love a good adventure and I can't stand it when things grow static. This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.

We have had amazing weather the last few weeks and I don't know who's been happier about it, the kids or myself! Nolan and Nathan are 7 months old and doing wonderfully. At last weight check, Nolan was 3 lbs heavier than Nathan, although Natey isn't small by any means! They are both practicing their sounds."baa, baa, baa, gurgle, gurgle, gurgle." They're sitting like big boys and when they're on their bellies, they push up more and more.crawling is right around the corner (YIKES! I love this little man!

It is unbelievable, but the babies are 6 months old! They are doing great.growing like weeds, meeting milestones, and just making our lives so full of fun and joy! As do our other 3 children, of course! At their 6 month check-up last week, Nathan weighed in at an impressive 16 lbs even, while Nolan beat him out once again in the weight department, at 19 lbs. 3 oz! Such cuties.big cuties! I'm enjoying capturing these dolls with our camera. They LOVE their toes! Caught them today playing on the floor.

God does not send us into the dangerous and exacting life of faith because we are qualified; He chooses us in order to qualify us for what He wants us to be and do."
