Stained Glass Patterns: February 2011

http://glasscraftpatterns.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

I have created a simple window for you to make. The pattern is symmetrical and centers on a four petal flower. The flower has a reflection for each petal and rays protruding from all directions. Depending on the opacity and colors that you choose, this window can be either classical or modern. It would be beatiful in textured clear glasses or opaque black and yellows. Have fun with it! Click to view and print. Idea on a color variation. Giving multiple shades of the same color give the rose depth. If you...

Crafting Connie: February 2010

http://craftingconnie.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html

Saturday, February 27, 2010. Save some money and reuse. Save your wallet and be environmentally friendly at the same time? Do you have an empty or almost empty foam soap pump? Did you know that you can refill all of them, even the dishwash soap that states it can't be refilled? To refill these pumps, you need only three things. Liquid soap (hand, dish, or shampoo). Wednesday, February 24, 2010. My current gardening posts about my hydroponic garden will continue at Playing With Plants. Garden with 3 plants.

Crafting Connie: Crockpot Apple Sauce

http://craftingconnie.blogspot.com/2012/10/crockpot-apple-sauce.html

Wednesday, October 3, 2012. I wanted to make a delicious apple sauce without adding sugar. It turned out to be quite simple and very tasty! I went to a local orchard and asked them if they had any "seconds". They brought me out a huge bushel of mixed apples and said they would give them to me for $5! I ended up taking 2 bushels, can't beat that price! Here is what you will need. Food mill (strainer will work, but will be very time consuming). Knife and cutting board, of course. Apple Cider or Water.

Crafting Connie: 911 In Remembrance

http://craftingconnie.blogspot.com/2012/09/911-in-remembrance.html

Tuesday, September 11, 2012. I remember the morning and how beautiful it was. I remember exactly where I was sitting. I remember my boss running in to the lab and telling me that a planes crashed into one tower. I remember not believing her. I remember seeing the truth in pure horror. I remember seeing it happen again. I remember the feelings of pain for all there. I remember seeing people jump from the towers. I remember my husband calling saying that the towers were engineered to withstand planes.

Sunday, September 16, 2012. Poopy Crayon Wall Art. I have seen beautiful crayon wall are all over Pinterest lately. My girls and I decided to make one to fill a wall in our bathroom. It turned out to be a very unique piece, I love it! Here is how we did it. Drop cloth ( I used a shower curtain liner). Razor or xacto knife. Rope or basket weaving seagrass (for basketweaving). I used seagrass for hanging in this picture. If you look carefully at the green, you will see that the crayon is "pooping" out.

Friday, September 7, 2012. My 3 year old loves drawing on her chalkboard and she makes a big mess doing so. I decided to look for some of those chalk holders the teachers had when I was a kid. They had them on Amazon, but they ran an average of $10 each! Can't wait to make some for sidewalk chalk! View the video below to see how I made them. The chalk holder at work.
